A few hours later, Zara finished what she was doing. "Finally!" She exclaimed before rummaging through her bags to find her swimsuit. As she tied up her now-lavender hair, she locked her room, making sure she had the key card with her.
After a few laps at the pool, Zara noticed a group of about eight men laughing as they dived into the swimming pool, and she awkwardly realized that she was the only other person in the pool. To save herself from any possible situation she would regret later on, Zara got out of the pool; but then she saw a familiar face.
"Yongbok?" she called out- and then immediately regretted doing so, as the whole group turned to look at her.
"Zara! It's you!" Yongbok said, smiling as he swam up to her.
Zara's face turned pink as she stuttered "Y-yeah." She wasn't to blame; Yongbok was shirtless.
Pulling Zara into the pool, he invited her to swim with his friends. "Think of it as paying me back," he explained, winking at Zara.
One of his friends - presumably the oldest - came up to Yongbok and whispered "What are you doing? Why are you just inviting her? What if she's a saesang?" Zara, who had sharp ears, wondered what a saesang was.
Whatever, thought Zara. Well, if I'm going to be swimming with these people, at least I should get to know them!
She swam over to the other men and introduced herself. She learnt (from the youngest) that their names were Bob, Sky, Yongbok, Peter, Sam, Lewis, Rhino, and the one who called her a saesang was the eldest, named Chris. All the boys seemed really friendly; the only one who intimidated Zara was Chris. Being a saeseng must be a pretty bad thing.
For the next few hours, Zara had the time of her life swimming with her new friends, and ended up staying much longer than she intended. They held a swimming championship with the prize of getting ice cream from the last-place loser, and Zara won the intense finals with Chris, who wasn't as bad as she thought. He was actually very caring, and she felt comfortable around him, so she finally decided to ask, "Excuse me, um Chris, what is a... sasaeng?"
