I
He entered the battle of glory and pride,
Entered the Colosseum with a heavy long stride.
The cheers were coming from all 'round,
Of vigor and fervor was the
sound.

II
He took it all in and began to
walk,
Remembering his short last
talk.
With his good friend discussed he the play,
To shatter everything that came in the way.

III
From the table he picked up his
mace,
And made his way with full
grace.
Facing the ever dark, ominous
cage,
His face scowled up with
rage.

IV
The king was sitting on the side
stand,
Waiting for the battle to begin
again.
On the cage did the warrior set his eyes,
To break with his opponent all the
ties.

V
The liver pulled, gradually opened the door,
To reveal a glance to what it
bore.
In the cage crept a ferocious
tiger,
His stripes gradually getting
brighter.

VI
It faced the warrior with its teeth
bare,
That had the power to erect the neck hair.
The opening door rested with a loud boom,
And so began the battle of
doom.
