I

I saw her proceeding from the

store,

Carrying a heavy bag, in which many things she

bore.

She appeared to be in a

hurry,

But my heart strongly wanted her to

tarry.

II

Her hair were golden up and

down,

Looked like sun rising after

dawn.

Her lips were curved in a beautiful

smile,

That I dare say could not be found within a

mile.

III

Her eyes were like emeralds shining in

light,

Twinkling like starts in the

midnight.

A little mischievous, a little

wise,

As pretty as rose petals, as mesmerizing as a

sunrise.

IV

When she spoke, oh! her voice so

soft,

That you wouldn't perceive

oft.

Such a soothing effect it had on heart and

mind,

That would take you away from world's

grind.

V

When she met my eyes, more than roses I

blushed,

My mouth wouldn't open and remained

hushed.

I lost my earliest chance that

day,

But hope someday I could get a

"Hey!".
