Where is Shay ?

As each day went by she repeated to herself that she's closer and closer to her goals. Every obstacle every hurdle that was thrown her way she overcame. The strength the sweat the tears the doubt. Grief , pain loneliness all gave her worry. There was one thing that out-ruled those things. FAITH. Faith became her hope her dreams her motivation. As long as she had faith no one could stop her.

Two years ago .......

Patience!?? PATIENCE!?? I KNOW YOU IN THERE . The noise was so loud to her ears. Already annoyed that there was no a/c or lights in her beat down project home, Patience just didn't want to be bothered. "HOLD ON, DAMN!" she screamed from the open window of the third floor. Patience loved her friend KiKi. They've known each other since the second grade. KiKi was the YING to her YANG . She could do no wrong in her eyes. However today, today just was not the day. Shay, Patience sister was suppose to come back home last night So they could get the utilities situated, but she never showed up . "DAMN SHAY! this the third day" she said as she got up and stumbled across empty beer cans old fast-food and cigarettes ashes from a knocked over ashtray. UGH! I can't wait to get my own home , I'm so sick of depending on Shay-Shay". Ma!, why did you have to leave us so soon" She spoke out of anger and disappointment. Their mother had passed away just two year prior and Patience had no choice but to move in with her older sister Marshay. They lived two completely different lifestyles. Patience wanted out the hood. She wanted to be something in life. She wanted to go to college but things didn't go as planned. "That damn Shay ain't came home yet". It's been three days and at this point the food in the fridge is going bad" Patience said. I'm sorry to hear that friend . The girls had experienced so much together but one thing about them is they never let anymore or anything get in between them. They never fell out had an disagreement or anything. "Hold on girl let me lock the door real quick." The girls were headed out the door when Patience notice her sisters phone under the sofa . "What the hell." She stated as she picked up the device. "Sis look." She showed Kiki . "One thing we know about Shay that girl is not going to leave without that phone." " Well this explains why it's been going straight to voicemail Patience replied. " How long you said she's been gone". Kiki asked. Patience said three days with a bit of worry in her heart "Come on girl let's go before we miss this bus". She said . As the girls strolled to the bus stop and group of guys was standing whistling at them. Aye Kiki, one guy shouted. Kiki ! Aye, stop let me holler at you real quick". "What Quan?" Those butterflies made her feel like a kid all over again. She walked away to get Patience and Lyric. "Come on girl Quan gone take us". Whhaattttt!?? Patience said in a shocked tone. " I can't believe this". They both laughed. Quan pulled up in his black Denali fully loaded with the cream leather seats. Patience side bumped KiKi with the big eyes. " That muthafucka cleannnnnn". She squealed. "Nah for real though" KiKi replied. They all loaded up in the truck. Of course KiKi had to jump on the bluetooth. Act Up CITY GIRLS started to blast through the speakers. Ayeeeeeee the girls immediately started hyping up. Quan turned down the music and said " Ayyyeee H*ll nah, turn this shit down for yall wake my baby up". They all laughed. KiKi " boy bye! and plus my baby love loud music she gone sleep right through it watch". She turned the music back up, her and Patience danced and sang to their anthem. After while they pulled up to their destanation. Patience got out and grabbed sleeping Lyric and their belongings. "Alright Quan preciate the ride". "No prob Suh", Anytime. he replied. KiKi stayed back to thank him and they finally exchanged numbers. "Call me if yall need a ride back" He said. Thank you I will. They hugged and she stepped out the car and started to catch up with Patience. "Girl that nigga smell so muthafucking good". Ding . The phone went off constantly. text after text. Somebody was really trying to get in contact with this girl. A phone call came in . It read Platinum. "Hello!". Patience quickly answered. "girl WHERE THE H*LL HAVE YOU BEEN!?" "You wont believe... Patience cut her off. This is not Shay this is her sister, When is the last time you heard from her?". Platinum spoke " omg girl, I just knew something was wrong she always by her phone and she always answers for me". Patience sighs with even more worry. Platinum spoke again " Last I seen or heard from her was Saturday night. We worked all night at "P3" and then her ol' dude Marco came and snatched her up out the club. She said she was going to call me but she never did. Patience quickly cut the conversation short and said " Okay thanks I'll call you if she comes up. She hung up and started going through the phone until she came across a caller I.d that had no name but only the red flag symbol. She called and called no answer. Eventually it started going straight to voicemail. "Ugh I hate that she's so inconsiderate. KiKi and the baby walked up ." Hey girl you ready to go". "Wait what's wrong". She said . " I'm so tired of Shay doing me like this. She know she's all I got. She goes missing have me worried like what if she comes up dead or something". "Girl don't think like that. You know how Shay is. Always have been she will come up. She probably be with some low down ass nigga." KiKi comforted her friend as much as possible, letting her know that she also has her. Come on girl I'm hungry. Where you want to eat its on Quan. They both laughed. You know what I want ten piece mild with the lemon pepper sprinkles the both shouted. The girls caught the next bus to their favorite wing spot. They ate, laughed , gossip, and came up with ways to find Shay.
