I didn't understand why I could hear voices. Dumbledoor. Remus. Mrs weasley. Why could I feel my heartbeat? I was so confused. I couldn't open my eyes but I knew that I was somehow still alive but how?

All of a sudden I saw someone in front of me. I knew that I was still dreaming because I was no longer in St. Mungos.

"Alice Potter. I'm Casius. I'm one of the whitelighter elders. I know your confused right now as to how your alive." I nodded. Of course I'm confused. I'm supposed to be dead for goodness sake.

"When you died your soul refused to die. You were still holding on to life. So that's why me and the other elders have decided that since your half death was so heroic that you can live but as half whitelighter." I gasped. I was going to be half whitelighter. I thought that it was impossible to be half only full. I guess I was wrong.

"And because your half whitelighter we want you to protect your little brother. One day he is going to be a very strong wizard but to do that he needs you. I will let you live on earth as you were before and you will age as you did before. We also want you to protect the rest of the wizarding world from Lord Voldermort. He will return one day soon. And when ge does nothing exept Harry can stop him." I gasped at this new information but nodded anyway. If I needed to protect Harry I would do anything for him even if I didn't have to. He is my little brother after all.

"I must go now. You'll know if we need you. Goodbye young one." He said before dissapearing just as my vision cleared and I was able to open my eyes. As soon as I did I saw Dumbledoor, Remus and Mrs Weasley rush to my side.

"Oh my god, Alice are you alright?" Remus instantly asked. I smiled. Same old Remus. Always worrying about me.

"I'm fine Remus. Stop frowning or you'll get frown lines." I giggled. He rolled his eyes and glared playfully at me. I sighed. It was good to be back and now I could protect Harty much better...
