The group carried on flying towards Markos' tomb, only to stop mid-flight. A large billow of smoke filled the air behind the nearby treeline, in the direction of Ortaku village. Armani looked at the others before shooting off towards the smoke, Armani saw the human army, firing tank shells, bombs from above and bullets all towards Ortaku village, the heavy shelling left majority of the village destroyed, and the other part in danger of being destroyed.
"We can't leave them, they'll be destroyed, we have to do something!" Armani bellowed, over the destruction.
"Hadranos and I will target the planes, you take out those tanks." Pethamenos called back, shooting off.
Corz had already flown towards the village, flying through the humans army, cutting them down as he did, Armani launched fireball after fireball towards the humans approaching tanks, they had to stop the humans before they got any further with their assault. They heard large explosions above them, they turned to see the two gods striking the planes before they got over the village, sending them crashing to the ground with deafening booms. The demon army broke out from their cover and charged forward, striking at the humans before they could push any further forward, Armani re-joined Corz on the ground, helping with the assault, they carried on pushing the humans back until they stopped. A human city lay before them, the city was in flames, people were crying out, screaming, and panicking, that's when the demons saw it, human planes bombing the city. The soldiers charged back only to be dumbfounded when the demons sheathed their weapons, staring at the inhumane atrocities before them. The humans had turned on themselves, bombing each other to bits. The Dark Lord, Armani, Corz and the two gods each stepped forwards.
"What has happened here?" The Dark Lord called out.
The humans looked at each other, muttering amongst themselves before a general stepped out. He stood at attention staring at the demons wickedly. Almost taunting them to strike out.
"Whilst we have been at war for a long while, we have gained other enemies within our own kind once again." The general called back. "This time they have breached our boarders, killed innocents across this land and many others, and on top of that, they have caused more chaos than you demons."
The demons were taken aback by this, they each stared at each other in horror, some of them looking more worried than the other, before Armani stepped towards the general. The humans aimed their weapons at him, only for the demons to match them.
"I'm going to suggest something completely unorthodox considering how things have been, but what if we sign a truce, and we help you with this war?" Armani suggested, holding his hands up.
Both sides muttered amongst themselves, before both sides leaders stepped forward, contemplating if this truce could be possible, after all, demons were always the enemies of the humans, and they have never been able to pull something like this off before. They turned back to each other, a subtle nod of agreement from both sides.
"If we are to do this, if you are to help us, we cannot let them know Demons are helping us, we would need to disguise you as us, I know this may not be the best suggestion we've ever given, but it would need to be done." The general called back.
"Agreed. General we shall sign this treaty as soon as we can convene fully, without the threat of destruction raining down on our heads." The Dark Lord called over.
"Very well. The treaty shall be signed in Ipswich, it's out of the way and less likely for our enemies to strike at us there," The general called back, saluting towards the demons before they turned back to the city.
Armani stepped backwards, racing towards the Dark Lord, stopping in front of him. Staring deep into the abyss of the Dark Lords eyes, where his soul would have been.
"We have to do this, we need the humans as well as our army for the final push on Andresso, we cannot do this alone, even with three gods we couldn't do this alone, Lucifer, are you prepared for one last war?" Armani explained, sincerely.
"Am I? Are the seas of hell filled with blood?" Lucifer replied, jokingly.
"Then it's agreed, we should leave for Ipswich to sign this treaty and explain the situation we face as well as they face, for both could spell the end of the world." Armani explained.
The Dark Lord nodded, before opening a portal and disappearing with a loud crack. Armani looked at the rest of the demons, standing at attention and sent a flare into the air to grab their attention.
"If you haven't gathered, we need ALL of us, together, for otherwise this world AND our world will both be destroyed, Andresso cannot be allowed to continue living, her curse will break us apart and we will fall. I look among you and I see friends, I see family, I see people who have everything and nothing all at once and I thank you all, for everything, your sacrifices, your love and compassion towards each other and I wouldn't ask much more of you however I need your help. We all do. We need your help in defeating Andresso once and for all. If you would help us then we will meet you at Andresso's tomb by days end tomorrow, otherwise, I understand completely, and wouldn't ask anymore, for the sacrifices and losses you have given and suffered is paramount to everything else." Armani explained.
"We need your help, everyone. Humankind, demonkind, Fallen angel...everyone, if we do this alone it will be a struggle, but together, we can show that we will NOT go down without a fight. We will not fall to her curse and we say NO MORE!" Pethamenos called out in a rallying cry.
The demons gave a large cheer, throwing fireballs, lighting bolts, everything and anything they could as a sign of solidarity, to show they supported the effort and would not give up no matter the cost. With that, Armani and his group spread their wings and took off, continuing towards Markos' tomb, ready to add one more god to his battle. Ready to end the war before it could get any worse.
