Felix? What the hell does he want?
"Kid, I need your help" Felix said.

What.

"Why do you need my help" I said coldly "Can't you find someone else? We aren't exactly best buddies"
"I'm aware I haven't been the most adequate classmate, but my sources can not find someone more capable to do this job other than you"
"..."
".... Please, Kid"
".... Ugh, fine, what do you need me to do" I said while rolling my eyes.
"Excellent! Okay, so as you know, I am the one that will own Applesoft after my father passes away"
"Yeah."
"But in order for my father to legally leave the company after he dies to me, I have to get a partner"
"And why do you need me?"
"I need you to investigates all the girls in our class and find the most appropiate one for me"
"What do I get out of this"
"You'll be paid handsomely"
"....Okay....how much time do I have?"
"You have until the end of the week, a second later and the deal is off"
"Yeah, whatever dude" I said annoyed "I really don't understand why you would bother me about this when you can have anoyone else do the job"
Felix stared at me with an amused look for a few seconds before talking.
"You have quite the reputation Kid, you are known to be even more problematic than Buggs and Cindy combained,  and you always get in trouble just because of you curiosity" Felix said "And the fact that you always succed on getting what you want makes you a perfect fit for this job" He stated with a smirk.
I stared at him with monotone eyes before sighing and nodding my head.
He was pleased.
"Amazing! We'll meet at back of the school in a week, now shoo, I don't want te be seen talking to a low-life like you"
I stared at him for a bit before walking off.

That guy really gets on my nerves, I wonder how Ted can stand him, he is an egotistical asshole who can't do his own dirty work, trust me, I know from experience.

I decided not to think much of Felix, because that is what he wants, and started to head to my spot in order to finally eat something. I bumped into Cindy who tried to make fun of me, but I was alredy tired so I didn't give her the satisfaction of a reaction, and after a minute she walked off annoyed.

I arrived to the tree and sat down while sighing and closing my eyes, my friends instantely noticed something was wrong with me.
"What is bothering Nugget's friend?" Nugget asked concerned
"Are you okay Kid?" Ted asked
"It's just that asshole creature you call your brother, Ted" I answered while making a face without opening my eyes.
"He wants me to take care of his own fucking responsabilities just because he can't afford to get his fatass up and actually do something productive" I complained.
"Hey what do you know!" Ted yelled defensivly.

Well that's new.

I opened my eyes and straightened up to look directly at Ted.
He was angry.
"You don't know about anything he has to do! You don't even know why he acts the way he does!"
"Why does that matter? It don't care about what he is going through, he doesn't have the right to treat the rest of us like garbage" I said coldly. I mean I'm not lying, maybe I was a little harsh, but I was just speaking facts.

Ted looked furious, but as I looked around my friends, no one said anything and everyone seemed to agree with me.
"I mean.... Kid's not wrong..." Billy said
"The hell Billy!" Ted yelled
"Look at this logically Ted, even when my brother had dissapered, I didn't treat the rest of the kids like shit. I know its hard for you guys but try to understand that your brother is just mean" Lilly explained
Ted looked at the twins with disbelief for a bit before sighing and calming down.
He looked at me and said "Look Kid, i'm sorry I yelled at you, it's just that father has been especially hard on Felix this couple of days. He doesn't sleep and doesn't have time to do anything but work" He explained 'I get that he's kind of an asshole but please, try to understand that he doesn't mean it"
I looked and him and my eyes softened.
"Yeah, I know, I apologise for being a bitch" I said while closing my eyes.
Ted giggled and smiled at me.

The rest of lunch passed normally until Penny asked what Felix had asked me to do "Oh, he wants me to investigate every single girl in our class in order to find the most fitting partner for him" I said.
"Oh...." Ted said.
"Is something wrong with Nugget's best friend's friend?" Nugget asked.
"No it's nothing, it's just that father has been pressuring Felix into finding a partner or else he will arrange a marriage with some random girl" Ted confessed
"Thats horrible!" Penny said.
"Yeah, not cool" I said.
"He is desperate. That's probably why he asked you Kid" Ted said.
"What does that mean"
Ted looked at me with doubt in his eyes before speaking.
"Felix is cautious with you, he finds you to be...umm..."
I looked at Ted with confusion
"He finds you attractive and dangerous"

He. What.

"Ex-fucking-CUSE ME?!" I yelled
"OoOOoooOh" Billy and Lilly teased at the same time.
Honestly, their ability to say the same thing at the same time is outstanding.
Ted looked at with what the fuck is wrong with you eyes until he realized what was wrong.
"Oh! Nononononomono, no you got it all wrong Kid" Ted started to say "Felix said that to me a LOOOOOONG time ago, it is not something you should worry about"

Oh.

"Oh, okay, how long ago?" I asked
"Like 6 or more years ago, in 3rd grade, he said you were a little too pretty for a boy"
"Oh, then it doesn't count" I said realived while crossing my arms.
"Yeah suuuuure, you tell yourself that" Penny said.
I glared at her while Nugget started teased me.
I got annoyed pretty quickly.
"I swear to whatever god Nugget, if you don't stop I'll break your fucking legs" I threatened
"Nugget's friend doesn't need to get aggresive, Nugget will back o-" Nugget couldn't finish his sentence because the bell rang, which meant recess was over.

We all stood up while grunting because no one wanted to get back to class and said goodbye, I stayed with Nugget since we had Literature together.

"So when will Nugget's friend start doing the task the annoying Felix gave him" Nugget asked, breaking the silence.
"Oh, actually I'll start investigating in Literature, that class is filled with girls so It'll be easy"
"Nugget wishes Niggets friend luck"
"Thank you Nugget"

And with that we entered class and my "job" started.
I just want to get this over with and never talk to Felix again, hopefully.

Hellooooo, sorry for taking so long to publish this chapter, but now I'll have plenty of time to update it!
I'll probably make this story a bit of a slow burn, not too slow though, and maybe I'll change the POV to third person. Im sorry this whole chapter took place in recess, I'll try to make the next one more dinamic.
