He was standing there against the kitchen counter, admiring his wife with a rare smile reserved only for her, his Meerub.

She was standing too close and was busy making 'Joshanda' for him.The wife, who always tries to put him in his place and denies the care and love she feels for him, was actually there in the kitchen making Joshanda, when she did clearly deny him a few minutes ago.

He didn't quite understand whether it was his health or his wife's jealousy when Haya brought Joshanda for him.

He didn't ask Haya to do anything. He never asked anything from her. She was and is madly obsessed with him. He had always rejected her advances and tried to stay away from her. But Haya, being stubborn, never leave any chance to seduce him.

He knows his wife doesn't like Haya, especially when she tries to come closer to him. Even he doesn't, but can't help himself and enjoy Meerub's jealousy.

He knows he is being selfish, but what can you expect from a husband whose wife has put a break on their marital life before saying "Qubool Hai" by signing a contract. A contract that would not take a second to be ripped off.

He would have torn the contract into a thousand pieces on their Walima night when she was looking like an epitome of beauty - the most beautiful girl in the world. His wife, his Meerub. But can't and he won't.

He respects his wife and her decision. His purpose is not to claim his right over her as a husband but to win her heart with her consent. He wants to earn her respect and trust so that one day she herself will consider him as her husband and herself, his wife.

His eyes were not leaving her face. The way her hands were busy in opening the container. He was busy looking into her eyes that were moving here and there to see if the water was boiled enough to add the Joshanda leaves.

He was wondering whether she was the same Meerub who was so close to him a while ago that her every single touch burned his soul with desire for her.

He could feel his heartbeat getting fast when she was in his arms, dancing and looking at him with love - yeah, love. She can deny all she wants, but deep inside her heart she knows that she is falling in love with him.

He was too lost in admiring her that he wanted nothing but to hide her from everyone and admire her all his life. But his lovely wife, his Meerub, decided to put a break on his thoughts by asking him whether he wanted to add sugar or honey to sweeten the Joshanda.

Before he could say 'add honey', his lips automatically uttered the words, 'Nothing, bas ek sip le lena' in his husky voice. He didn't know he could flirt too - good effects of marriage, maybe. And why not?

If you have a wife like Meerub - so beautiful, so courageous - you'll automatically become 'Majnu' in her love. And it was his state right now.

Her expression changed as if someone has asked her about the contract papers. He was shocked too, but didn't show it. After uttering those words, he left the kitchen with a smiling face, leaving his wife flustered with her mouth open, a rare sight to behold.
