Sakura meets Mr. Arrogant

Chapter Twenty-three

-Hours later-

~Sakura's POV~

"Come on Konan! Can you guys talk to my friends?" I asked for the 100th time.

"I'm really sorry Sakura but your friends didn't listen to us. Believe me. . . We really tried." Konan sighed.

"Please."

"Fine maybe tomorrow at the festival."

"Yes! Thank you! Thank you!"

I started jumping around the room.

But it all stopped when I saw the door open revealing Temari.

I immediately ran towards her.

"Hey I heard that you are going out with Shikamaru. Is that true?" I grinned widely.

"Um. . ." She blushed.

"I knew it!"

"Hey isn't Shikamaru the smartest guy in the whole batch?" Konan asked while flipping through her magazine.

"Yup you got that right Konan." I said while heading back towards the bed.

"Hmm this seems interesting." Konan stated.

"What's interesting?" Temari and I asked the same time.

"Apparently the festival being held here is called 'The Star Festival'."

"So?" Temari asked.

"Well there's a legend about this Star Festival though. It's a story between two lovers. Apparently they got separated and there is this one night that they would look at the same star together at the same time. And that date is tomorrow night. I'm just too lazy to explain. But I just summarized it already. So it's a festival is more of a couples night. They would exchange gifts and watch fireworks together."

Oh good thing I already bought Sasuke a gift. I wonder if he would give me something? Nah maybe not.

"Dinner?" Temari asked.

"Rise and shine! Today is the festival!" Konan pulled out my blanket exposing my skin to the cold.

"Come on Sakura! Wake up! Temari bought sandwiches downstairs!" I immediately stood up from my bed and quickly ate the sandwich which is lying on the bedside table.

"So we all woke up late. It's already 10:00." Temari said while checking her watch.

"Yea. So what are we gonna do now?" Konan asked.

"Shopping?" I suggested.

They both nodded.

Hmm this would be a great gift for Ino, Hinata and Tenten.

"Miss can you please wrap these three bracelets?" I asked the sales lady.

She smiled at me before proceeding on wrapping the bracelets.

"Hmm who are you buying that for?" Temari asked.

"For my friends."

I can't help but give a sad look. I really miss talking to them.

"Don't worry Sakura things will work out soon enough." Konan smiled.

"How can you be so sure about that?"

"Trust me." she winked.

I paid for the bracelets before heading back to the hotel .
