"Mia, you need to start standing up for yourself." Said my best friend, Lizzy.
"I know, I know but it's hard. I don't want to seem like a pussy." I said in response.
"You won't! Just trust me on this one." She said.
"Okay, okay! Calm down." I said not trusting her whatsoever.I just got told off by the seventh grade pops (a.k.a "popular girls" that are actually jerks) for who knows what. I swear, they think they run this place. Someone needs to knock some sense into them.
Anyway, today is the day before my birthday! I'm super excited! I'm hoping for a very special present from my mom. A very VERY special present. I want a new telescope and I know, I know that sound lame, but I've always wanted to be a scientist since I was a little kid. I know it still probably sounds weird, But whatever.
" hey, Mia, wake up!" Said Anne
" what?!" I said in surprise.
I totally didn't realize I was in
mr. Smith's math class! I'm in big trouble if anyone noticed. I looked up. Phew! No one saw. Thank god that Anne woke me up! Anne is another friend of mine... Actually, she was my only other friend.I don't know why I was so tired. I slept okay last night. Weird.
That experience in math class really freaked me out apparently, because that whole day I was very paranoid. Even in mrs. Anderson's science class. I usually love that class, but today was different. For example, I had to present my research about atoms. I regularly like presenting to the class, but I thought someone would laugh at me or that my research was wrong.plus, I had to go first, which didn't help at all.
