Chapter Two

Some may say it was a violent reaction, but with what i've been through, it was appropriate. I practically flew down the stairs and almost into a boy. "Oh! I'm sorry!" By the time I turned around to appologize, he was gone. I shook it off, dashing twoards my chorus class. "Alexi! Where have you been! " Ms.Colli called out, totally inturupting the class mid-song. "I'm sorry, I ran into someone and dropped my books." She nodded. "Just don't do it again." She said, with a meaning full look in her eye. "I Promise." I said, getting into line. "Take it from the top, class!" And thus the song began. I love Seasons of Love, and Rent is an amazing show, arguably my favorite broadway show. You can amagine how thrilled I was to get a solo. This was just practice, but i took it seriously. "Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minets" I sang "Five hundred twenty five thusand journeys to plan. Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minets, how do you measure the life of a women or a man?" The boy solo part wen't on, and he was amazing. His name was Charlie, i think. As the chorus came back on i wen't for my part. "Oh, you've got to you've got to remember the love. Give love, Share love, spread love. Measure, Measure your life in love!" I wen't for my high note, hitting it best as i could. The song ended, and Ms.Collie called out. "Bravo! Bravo!" She clapped. "If we can do it like that at the concert in a few weeks, we're good to go!" I smiled, picking up my books and sitting down on the risers. I was exited yet nervous for the concert. It's about time I got my time to shine, and not because of rumors.
