Dada, I want two pigtails and uspe pink libbon lagao.. "
Saanvi orders, pointing to her hair on both sides. Sidharth puts her books inside her bag, looks up and asks, "Is it okay if I put barbie clips there? You know how Dada is with pigtails and ribbons. And it's getting late for school.."
She makes a sad face with a pout.
"But I want to.. Dada, aap nahi bano ge? Mela na bahut mann ho laha hai.."
"Don't make that face, baby girl.. you are killing your Dada here.. okay.. ah! Okay. I will do my best."
She giggles as she hands him two pink ribbons. He gives out a deep breath and starts tying her hair.

"Never thought I could see this sight. It's.. just wow!"
They look up and Saanvi grins and squeaks, "Dida!"
She jumps off the bed and goes and hugs Richa. She picks her up and kisses her on her cheek.
"Oh My doll! You have grown big! My big girl! Ah I missed you my sweetheart!"
"Yes, I missed you too. Where's Dadu?"
"Where's my girlfriend?"
Arvind comes in and Saanvi jumps into his arms.
"Aww.. your old man missed you.. "
"Dadu, did you get me my dolls?"
"Yes and many more things. Niche hai. Let's go before Martha comes. "

Arvind smiles at Sidharth and goes downstairs holding the child. Richa comes in and gives her son a tight hug.
"So, ribbons?"
"Yea, I have to learn new things everyday. She is growing up fast and turning feisty like her mother."
"I saw that. She knows how to get things out of you."
He whispers, "just like her mother."

Sidharth drinks his tea as Martha brings breakfast to the table. Saanvi keeps blabbering about her school, her friends and her teacher with Richa. And Simba, the lab, trying to be a part of the conversation, barks.
Saanvi says, "Simba, chup. Maine baat karni hai.. chup."
Sidharth smiles and turns towards Arvind, "You are staying."
Arvind replies," I have a doctor's appointment next week. We are here till then. There are some papers you need to sign. When can you sit with me?"
"Let me drop Saanvi. Ibrahim can handle the B and B today. I will stay at home and do the needful."
Arvind nods his head.

Sidharth carries Saanvi in his arms till the gates of her school. Before entering she whispers in his ears to let her down, she will walk. He smiles and lets her off from her arms. Holding her hand, he enters the premises of the school.
"Good morning Saanvi!"
A young woman greets her at the door to her class. She is slim, with a round beautiful face with light brown eyes and long hair tied into a pony. She wears a simple stripe blouse, a cream coloured woolen sweater over it, a fleece legging and boots.
"Miss Pitha! Good moling!"
Saanvi almost screams with excitement seeing her teacher.

She leaves his hand and runs towards her. Her teacher, Pritha Sanyal cups her face and gives her a kiss.
"How are you?"
"Very good, thank you."
"Wow, nice. You look excited. Anything new?"
"Dadu and Dida have come. They have got sooo many gifs.. "
Sidharth calls her name, "Saanvi!"
She bites her tongue, "Haye, main to bhul gai, my fathel iz waiting. Dada, mela bag dedo."
Sidharth gives her the bag and she takes it.
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
She smiles and pulls his jacket. He lowers his face and she gives him a kiss on his cheek.
Her teacher asks her to go inside.

"Mr.SR, I need to talk to you."
Pritha says as he was about to leave.
"Is Saanvi good in her class?"
"Yes, Saanvi is a bright kid. And she is a very friendly and good girl. The only thing is she gets upset when she finds other kids with their mothers. She says her mother is somewhere away. If you two are separated, I would suggest you talk to her. She needs her mother. I know I should not say these things but I really care for her."
Sidharth lowers his head. He doesn't reply to her for sometime.
"Are you okay?"
He gives out a deep breath, "Thank you. I will take your leave now."

As he walks away, another lady comes to Pritha.
"Was that SR, the owner of The Marigold House B and B?"
"Oh! Yes, that was him. He was here to drop off his daughter."
"He is a handsome man, isn't he? I was running the daycare and he used to come to drop her child. Apart from a few words, yes and no, he hardly talked to me. He has a mysterious aura around him that attracts every woman.."
"Hmm.."
