The work takes place in the same Universe as "Demon saved by The Devil" which explains a lot at the beginning so I advise read that as well, however, it's not really necessary.
Even thou Original Character isn't human, I feel the need to warn you all, that she, just like everyone of Dimitrescu family eats human flesh. Her job is to cook so there will be quiet a few scenes when she'll prepper food and the meat won't belong to any animal. You've been warned.
Zână Pădurii from DSTD will appear alongside Cassandra in next chapters so please, if you're curios about her, don't write in the comments questions about her but move your ass to "Demon saved by The Devil" and read for yourself. - But if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
I'm going to write an OC for all Dimitrescu ladies, including Bela and Alcina as well, but for now you'll have one for little fly with ADHD and strong delulus, and one for Cassie.
That's all for now. Have a good day/night guys! Love you!
_______________
"Daniela please put the knife back. It's meant for food, not your sister."
Loud groan filled the room and the sound of hundreds of buzzing flies follows. Bela stood calm in her seat sipping her wine and didn't flinch when the knife dug into the table close to her plate. Soon Daniela appeared on her previous seat with a offended pout and crossed hands on her chest as she glanced at her mother, angry that she stopped her game with Bela. Lady of the Castle sighed quietly, her breath hitting the inside of the glass for a moment before she took a sip of the wine as well.
"I know, darling, that without Cassandra around, you often find yourself bored, but that doesn't I can excuse fights when we were about to eat dinner" Lady Dimitrescu scolded softly, her voice laced with a mixture of understanding and tender concern. Her eyes, usually filled with a commanding presence, now held a touch of weariness and longing. Cassandra's absence weighed heavily on her mother's heart, like an empty space that yearned to be filled.
And yet, despite her admonishment, a warm smile graced Alcina's full, ruby lips as she turned her gaze towards Daniela. It was a smile of love, a silent reassurance that even in Cassandra's absence, the family remained whole. In that moment, Alcina's heart swelled with both pride and adoration for her youngest daughter, who could light up a room with her infectious energy and mischievous spirit.
"That's better..." Alcina's voice trailed off, carrying a subtle hint of relief that mingled with her underlying weariness and shortly after, send her daughter a smile not wanting to see her unhappy, and wanting for not Daniela smiled back, eager for her mother's approval. She had been longing for a moment of respite, a pause in the whirlwind of the Dimitrescu household's usual chaos. "Also I have good news to share with you two."
"Cassandra's coming back?!" Daniela's excitement erupted like a wildfire, her voice rising in pitch as she sprang from her seat, her hands eagerly pounding on the sturdy wooden table. The sheer exuberance radiating from her frame was infectious, as if the prospect of Cassandra's return held the promise of a vibrant world restored.
A gentle shake of her head accompanied by a wistful smile was all it took for Lady Dimitrescu to dispel the notion. Cassandra's return, though eagerly anticipated by them all, was yet to come. The weather outside remained treacherous, its icy grip refusing to release its hold. Alcina's heart ached at the thought of her middle child, far away from the warmth and safety of their ancestral home. Bela only glanced at her sister with a stoic expression but soft eyes, and then adverted her eyes at her mother. They shared a knowing look before their mother spoke again.
