"Good morning, gongzi."
Lan Xichen could see how the redhead flinched like a surprised cat, making him smile to himself.
The redhead then greets him in return, not looking at him in the eyes.
"Good morning." Wei Xun says before looking in front of him again, Lan Xichen chuckling audibly for the latter to hear.
"Ahem. Is everyone here?"
Despite his shushu appearing and starts talking in front, Lan Xichen couldn't help but observe the redhead in pure amusement and curiosity, as he was drawn to Wei Xun like a moth in a flame.
Just then, he could hear the redhead sigh to himself before flinching when his name was called.
'Aiya, shushu stop frowning and scaring the guest disciples.' Lan Xichen laments to himself.
"Recite ten rules related to personal virtues."
As Lan Qiren said that, even Lan Xichen was quite surprised at what the older said.
Reciting rules might be a bit severe for a guest disciple, especially from a Sect that is quite the total opposite of Gusu Lan.
Before Lan Xichen could speak to his shushu to change the question, Wei Xun spoke.
"Be respectful. Arrogance is prohibited. Destroy the five poisons. Do not succumb to rage. Be peaceful when insulted. Be careful with your words. Do not be unreasonable. Do not be of two minds. Do not use coarse language. Be modest."
It caught Lan Xichen off guard, to say the least. But then again, the redhead wouldn't have the title of Genius of Yunmeng if he isn't one.
Lan Xichen simply laughs at himself for forgetting such a thing regarding the amusing redhead.
"Ten rules in appropriate behavior."
Lan Xichen had watched how Wei Xun's fingers twitched as if he wants to coil it into a fist.
It further amused him.
"Do not drink alcohol. Do not create damages. Do not stand incorrectly. Do not seat improperly. Do not make noise. Do not move arbitrarily. Do not consume meat. Do not be difficult with food. Do not smile for no reason. Do not fight without permission."
Wei Xun really is amazing.
Lan Qiren then caressed his goatee, nodding to himself, "Good. You may sit down."
Ah, it seems that his shushu is quite favoring the redhead despite the Wei in his name.
"Good job, gongzi." Lan Xichen whispers to him, which surprised Wei Xun as he glanced at him for a short while before bowing his head in thanks.
As Lan Qiren called Wei Ying next, Lan Xichen had watched all the miniscule expressions the redhead is making whenever the elder asked a question to his younger brother.
His thin lips curling into a smile, before frowning as it was already close to a scowl, his left eyebrow raising in a really funny way, Lan Xichen had watched it all.
Just then, the redhead's eyebrows had furrowed one into confusion. It made Lan Xichen get cut off from his trance (staring).
"Gongzi?" He tries to whisper to get the redhead's attention, yet there is no response.
He could hear his uncle slowly raising his voice, seething in anger in whatever answer he's hearing from Wei Ying.
"Gongzi." Lan Xichen calls loud enough, earning Jiang Cheng's attention as he looked at them.
