When he opened his eyes Kiibo was immediately met with the constant pounding of his head. His neck and back hurt from being slouched over the desk.
Wait huh?
Kiibo blinked three times before concern started to etch into his face. No matter how much he racked his brain, he didn't recognize the classroom he was in. The slight albino teen sat up only to trip on the chair leg and fall down face first.
The pain on his face only added to his previous pain. Kiibo groaned and pushed himself off the ground. He rubbed his face, nothing seemed broken so he stood up completely. With the pain now leaving his body Kiibo took this opportunity to rack his brain even further.
He remembers standing at the gates of Hope's Peak High. Kiibo was invited to the school as the Ultimate Lucky Student. An average talent compared to the ones who are scouted by the school themselves. Apparently he had won the title by lottery, the newly dubbed luckster would have rejected the invitation if the school didn't grant immediate success after graduation.
Besides, the Professor wanted him to attend. If the Professor had seen the advantages of accepting the invitation, then there was ultimately no choice.
The concern he had early soon blended in with many questions. First one being: Was this Hope's Peak?
Kiibo quickly looked around. Surely Hope's Peak wouldn't look this... strange right? The camera in the corner wasn't much cause for panic, all schools had cameras at some point. The monitor was stranger than the camera however. Why would a class need a monitor? He stepped back from the monitor and looked behind him.
Are those metal plates?!
The boy ran over to what were supposed to be windows. They have been tightly bolted shut, no sunlight of any kind was visible through any cracks. In fact there were no cracks at all. Kiibo tried to pull at the bolts, he wasn't too disappointed when they didn't budge. His hands slightly sting now, they are now red from the amount of force he used.
He wiped his hands on his sweater, the dust going from his hands onto the sweater. Kiibo sighs as he walks back to the desk he woke up at. The toppled chair was still on the floor so he bent down to pick it up. When he looked closer at the desk Kiibo saw a line of drool on it.
That's embarrassing.
He pulled his sleeve over his hand and hurriedly wiped the desk. His attention turned to the pamphlet next to him. Actually calling it a pamphlet gave it a bit too much credit. When Kiibo opened it the thing looked as if a five year old drew it.
"The next semester is about to start. Starting today, this school will be your entire world."
Is this someone's idea of a joke? It's not very funny...
The pamphlet only led to more questions. Was this really Hope's Peak High? Kiibo remembers passing out in the main hall. Did someone carry him here? He shook his head, worrying so much won't do much good in this situation. Kiibo looks up at the clock.
It's already eight?!
It was seven when he arrived at the gates. Was he really asleep for an entire hour? Kiibo's mind raced back to his invitation.
Shoot! It's past the meeting time!
Kiibo runs to the door and slides it open. He runs into the hallway only to stop once he's out of the classroom. The entire hallway was emitting a strange purple hue. If waking up in an unknown classroom was weird, then the whole situation got even weirder.
Now with a slower pace, Kiibo tried to find his way to the main hall. Which proved to be impossible. The entire place seemed like a maze! He walked from door to door, each one locked.
