IN MEMORY OF MY CAT, VINCENT.

2017 - 2022. Lost But NEVER Forgotten. Miss you, Vin.

'My name is Vincenzo Gill, though my friends call me Vinnie. I used to serve time for the South American army in my early 20s, defending my place of birth from many gangbangers and terrorist pricks. Some of the memories I have of there are... Pretty messed up, having to witness some of my fellow men being tortured by some Russian kidnappers. I was one of the few who survived.

Although my PTSD is nowhere near as bad as it once was, there's no erasing the horrors I had to witness during my time in the service. I still have many problems from that period of time that have carried over to my current life, even if it was well over ten years ago.

I mean, it was my only profession after the rough life I had to go through during my childhood. I grew up with no family, other than my North American adopted parents and my obnoxious foster brother, Pablo. I swear, that guy never knew when to stop acting like a moron. He always overshadowed me in the dating scene, making it difficult for me to get with anyone in this damn life I have. Only a few have ever given me a chance. Only one I've sparked a real connection with.

For about a year now, I've been dating this wonderful girl named Kyanna. My friend, JD, introduced me to her last New Year's. Ever since then, we've been as close as hunie and a bee (idk why I like to spell 'hunie' like that. It feels unique, I guess?) Our relationship is strong. Stronger than anything my brother ever had. He did date Kyanna for a short time, after all. But he was nothing but ignorant, selfish, and rude.

As of this writing, I'm preparing to take a big step in my life, seeing as how my finances are a little more stable these days, now that Momo's been bringing in a decent income with this new maid job she's gotten, as well as Kyanna doing well at the hair salon she's worked at for a few years. Nora, on the other hand, seems to be having trouble getting her finances together, which is exactly why I let her stay with us until she figures it out. Though, I will admit: it's a bit crowded in our house.

But seeing as how Pablo had gone missing a couple of months ago, his annoyance may finally be over. Though, he's still family. I never knew my real parents, nor do I want to. They put me up for adoption for a reason. There's no point in finding out who they are, or were. Throughout the entirety of my life, I've dealt with much darkness and damnation. A fake family, a deadbeat brother, and trauma from serving my country. But all that seems to finally be changing for the better.

Maybe, my life isn't too bad. Things are finally looking up for me. I'm passed the war by now. But it's time to take the next step in my life. Kyanna, if you ever read this, you know I love you more than anything. You are my family. You, Nora, Momo, Little Philly, and the rest of the Delrios are more of a family than the ones who adopted me.'

August 17th, 4:00 PM.

A man with deep tan skin, ginger hair, and a big ginger beard looked at himself in the mirror. It appeared as if he were combing his hair and trying to freshen up for a special occasion. He wore a button-up shirt accompanied by a red tie and brown jacket. He looked very handsome on this night, even having his hair slicked back, a far cry from the usual frizzy hair he was typically seen with.

"Well, Vinnie. Tonight's the night." he said to himself, having a rather gruff Brazilian accent. The ginger man felt the inside of his pocket, making sure everything was in his possession.

Gotta look good for my partner.

He eventually finished getting ready and exited the bathroom, being greeted by a Hispanic woman wearing a lemon-yellow shirt and dark brown skirt.
