Chapter 1: The beginning...

It was summer of 23 and our main focus was on a small town called Spook town. We see a few people still awake, working hard in the late hours of the night, some are closing up shop, walking home, sleeping. A curse is over the town, a terrible curse, something strange is occurring in this town, what could it be you ask?

A tv static sound plays from the room next door, A young adult walks in and tries to change the channel. Kevin is his name, the static changes to a warning screen that makes an amber alert type sound. He flinches at the sudden change of velocity and rubs his tired eyes.

A reporter sounds aloud over the speaker, "Warning.Various people have gone missing in these following counties: Mandela County, Spook county, Narfall County, and ******* County."

Kevin heard his town's name and he immediately looked up.
"Until further notice, Lock all entrances to your house at night, Clover up all windows, but most importantly, Keep your crosses near."

The television went off for a moment then switched back to a commercial.

"What a strange message.." Kevin thought.

What did it mean? Crosses? Kevin wasn't very religious but he had a box of his old stuff in his closet. He found a silver cross necklace that could possibly work. He put it around his neck and under his shirt. He then checked all doors, windows, and covered all reflective surfaces.

The night passed and Kevin didn't get much sleep, as usual. It was now 4:30 am on Monday March 20, 23.

Kevin would yawn and close his laptop, he had been working on college assignments all night.

His bed was next to a window and it displayed his side yard next to a neighbor's house, but as Kevin looked over he realized the window was wide open and there was a cold breeze flowing through his room.

Kevin thought nothing of it and started getting ready for work that day again, like usual, but something seemed off...

As Kevin arrived at work, he unlocked the glass doors and turned the buzzing LED lights on.

God how terrible it was to listen to that buzzing for what seemed like endless hours every day.

Kevin decided to put one of his earbuds in and play his favorite song, his friend Streber had recommended it, and Kevin thought the tune was absolutely horrendous, but he liked Streb and everything he tried to give him.

An hour passed and not mant customers had bought candy yet, until a bright-spirited young man opened the door, he looked absolutely amazing, it was no wonder that he was popular, he was cute, and so cheerful all the time.
