Katie McGrath was used to being the object of desire. Everywhere she went, people fawned over her, showering her with attention and compliments. But there was one person who she wanted more than anything, and that person didn't seem to feel the same way.

Her name was y/n, and she was a stunning actress who had caught Katie's eye from the moment they met. They had worked on a project together, and Katie had been struck by y/n's talent and beauty. She had tried to keep her feelings under control, but it was impossible to resist the pull she felt towards y/n.

They had become friends, but Katie wanted so much more. She wanted to touch y/n's skin, to feel her lips against hers, to explore every inch of her body. But y/n didn't seem interested in anything beyond friendship. She was kind and warm towards Katie, but there was no spark of passion between them.

Katie tried to move on, but it was hard to let go of her feelings for y/n. She dated other women, hoping to find someone who could make her forget about y/n, but no one could compare. She was consumed by her one-sided love, unable to let go of the hope that maybe, just maybe, y/n would feel the same way one day.

But that hope was dashed when y/n announced that she was getting married. Katie felt like her heart had been ripped out of her chest. She had been holding on to the idea that maybe there was a chance for them, but now it was clear that y/n had chosen someone else.

She went to the wedding, forcing a smile and pretending that everything was fine. But inside, she was drowning in her own sadness. She watched as y/n exchanged vows with her fiancé, wondering what it would have been like if she had been the one standing up there with y/n.

As the night wore on, Katie found herself alone with y/n. They were standing on a balcony, looking out over the city skyline. And then, to Katie's surprise, y/n turned to her and kissed her.

It was like a dream come true, but Katie knew that it wasn't real. y/n was drunk and emotional, and she didn't really mean what she was doing. But for that one moment, Katie let herself believe that maybe, just maybe, y/n felt the same way she did.

In the end, y/n went back to her fiancé, and Katie was left alone once again. But she knew that she would never forget that kiss, and that her one-sided love for y/n would never truly go away.
