A Little Piece of Us - A Jarah Story

Chapter 1

After the past 18 months, so many things have changed for everyone, everything felt so normal again. John B and Sarah opened a killer surf shop, bought a house, adopted a dog, got married but for real this time, Pope was going to college, Cleo was still living with him and working at Jarah's shop and Kie saving turtles and traveling the world with JJ who got a charter boat.

When Rafe discovered that Ward died, his anger turned into an extreme need for revenge. Before they went to Venezuela, he told John B that if something happened to Ward they would pay for it, and he's gonna keep his treat.

Then, on November 15th, 2023, a few weeks after they celebrated winning the quest for the gold, the cross, and El Dorado, Sarah found out she was pregnant. She got so nervous, but was trying to hide it from John B. She's only 18, she wasn't expecting a pregnancy at all, and the poor girl was also so scared about John B's reaction to the news, she knew he'd support her in everything but this was different, this would change their lives forever.

Kiara knew something was wrong when Sarah called her and she was barely able to talk, so she immediately went to her friends house. When Kie walked through the door, she saw Sarah on the floor crying with her knees drawn up and covering her face with her hands. As soon as Kiara saw the pregnancy test on her friend's side she understood what was happening and was only able to say "Oh damn".

Sarah looked up and said sobbing "I don't know what to do. How am I going to be able to raise a child? I'm only 18, I can't-."

Kiara, now on the floor next to her best friend, hugs her and says "You are not alone Sarah. Look at me, you will never be alone. I'm here with you."

"What am I going to say to John B?" Sarah sobs. "You're worried about John B's reaction? Tell him the truth, Sarah, he's your partner and he will understand and support you, I know him and I know how much you mean to him." Kie says softly which made Sarah calm down a little bit.

"My mom... My mom died right after Wheezie was born, so every mother's day, every time I went to my friends house and saw them having a great relationship with their mothers, broke my heart into a million pieces. All I ever wanted was to have that person who would be my best friend, someone to give me affection and to love me regardless of everything." she pauses and sniffles "Of course I had Rose and my sister, but it wasn't the same, I just-" and she breaks into tears all over again. At this point, Sarah was starting to have a panic attack, she was just so scared, this was a huge shock that would change her life forever and made her remember her biggest trauma, so many questions, fears and memories were crossing her mind at once.

After a few hours of a lot of struggle and tears, Sarah manages to calm down, and so Kie takes her to watch the sunset on the beach, something she knew would bring peace to her best friend. No sooner said than done, there was Sarah feeling the soft sand between her feet, hearing the noise of the waves crashing in the sea and seeing the beautiful colors of the sunset that colored the sky in an enchanting way, she felt her mom's presence. And it was at that moment she realized everything would be okay, she was not alone.

"Thank you, Kie" Sarah says in a genuine way looking at her bestie. "For what?" she asks confused. "For everything. You helped me so much today, I don't know where I'd be if you hadn't helped me. And..." Sarah takes Kiara's hand and places it on her belly. "This baby will have the best auntie ever, we adore you".  "Stoppp, I'm blushing" Kie says trying to hide her face and making her friend laugh. "No but you know I'll forever be here to help you Sarah, I can even babysit the baby when you guys need it, it's gonna be okay. But enough talking about me, let's talk about John B. When are you going to tell him?" Kie says and Sarah looks down "I don't know... I think when I feel I'm ready" "Okay, but just don't take too long, he'll freak out". "Yeah I know..."
