Chapter 1

Steven's POV
Age 13

I was hanging out in the human zoo when I message came through from blue saying, "Pink it's time for annual ball in white diamond's honor."
I reply, "I am on my way to my room to get ready blue diamond and I will be there soon."
I told Connie, "I must go, and I will be back sometime later on."
Connie replies, "OK Steven!"
I waved goodbye, and I walked out pearls waiting on the outside of the zoo for me then we went back to my room to get me dressed in the outfit similar to my mom's.  Pearl asked me, "Are you ready Stev-."
She coughs and says, "Are you ready my diamond?"
I nodded, and pearl led me to the throne room where the ball would be held then she says, "Prepare yourselves for pink diamond's arrival!"
They open the curtain and I walk through. I walked all the way to my throne, and I heard blue and yellow same in unison, "You look amazing Pink."
I reply quietly, "Thanks Blue and Yellow."
While we watched gems dance then I ask blue and yellow quietly, "Blue and Yellow could I take a human out of the zoo?"
Blue asked, "Why starlight?"
I reply, "I wanted to have a friend in there to hang out in my room with me."
Yellow looked at Blue with an angry expression but Blue looked at me and says, "Yes, and you must keep them in your room during balls and when you go to moon to check earth."
I smiled at Blue and the ball continued until Blue and Yellow dismissed the other gems then I dashed to the zoo. I entered and found Connie then I tell her happily, "I want you to come with me and hang out with me all the time!"
Connie looks confused and asks, "What do you mean Steven?"
I reply, "I convinced the other diamonds to let you out of the zoo!"
Connie got excited and started jumping with me then we dashed out of the zoo and went to me room. I asked the pebbles, "Could you make Connie some female clothes please?"
They nodded and pull some different outfits put together for her, and I handed them to her saying, "Connie if you need anything when I am not her, just ask the pebbles."
We hang out and Pearl seemed happy at that then the months would roll by and Blue diamond summoned a talking diamond. Blue diamond would say, "Pink it's time to check on your colony go to the moon base with Pearl."
Connie nodded and remember the rules of her staying out of the human zoo then pearl, took my hand and took me to a warp pad. I sat at the giant chair in the room and started monitoring the planet then Pearl took me to another place in the base. It had a orb in the middle and Pearl touched it, showing different places on earth. While looking, I saw a person with a gem in there almost like me besides star shaped hair, and a white gem. I asked Pearl, " can you go back to the city on that beach?"
She nods, and then I saw the boy again, and I said, "Pearl look at that boy with with the gem in his head!"
She looks and sees him, but has a confused look, and she says, "He must be like you."
I look at Pearl and I try to ask her something but she stopped me and said, "No, I am not taking you to earth!"
I gave her the puppy dog eyes and she started looking at me then I asked her,"Please take me to Earth?"
Her eyes began to look away and I kept giving her the puppy dog eyes then our eyes meet again and she sighs. She gives in and says, "Fine!"
She took me to the warp pad and we teleported to earth. When we arrived on earth, and I dashed round the fields then I had Pearl follow me around. While I wondered around earth, I saw the boy from earlier and I dashed up to him said, "Hey!"
The boy looked at me summoning staff that shot a white beam at me but I reflected it with my sword. The boy seemed surprised and put his weapon away then I put mine away, then I say, "Your just like me!"
I hugged him and he seemed dazed for a few seconds then he asked me, "Where are you from?"
I reply, "Home world."
He seemed confused again and we continued to talk until two gems came around the corner summoning their weapons. I start getting ready to summon mine until Stevie stopped me and the two got closer then he stopped them. Pearl started summoning her spear but I stopped her then the pink Pearl asked Stevie, "Why are you talking to home world gems?"
He replies, "Because he is like me."
The pink pearl and the fusion looked at me and saw that I was half human. Then they asked, "You're pink diamond's son aren't you?"
I nodded and Pink Pearl seemed angry then she started summoning her long spear and I summon my sword and shield. Stevie and Pearl tried to stop us but I told them, "It's fine. Let us do this but Pink Pearl, no shattering blows!"
The Pink Pearl nods then the rest of them moved to a safe spot and we began the fight. She began with long range attack shooting beams of light from her spear. I blocked them with my shield, and then I dashed at her using my shield to put enough force to bounce off of it. Pink Pearl was launched back and I dashed at her using my shield cover my gem and head. Once I reached her, I knocked the spear out of her hand and held my sword to her gem. I told her, "It's over, I will not shatter you like Yellow. I am not like my mother, I will never be like her!"
I dropped my sword letting it disappear and then I sent my shield back but she seemed to have a shocked face on and asked, "Why won't you shatter me?"
I replied, "Because you did nothing wrong, and you were standing up for what you believe in."
She looked at me and I walked away back to my Pearl then she showed me a thing and I told him, "I will be back tomorrow, I have to go back to home world."
We left and teleported back to home world then I told Blue and Yellow, "Everything thing is good on earth."
Connie and I hung out until I was too tired to walk anymore then we laid down together drifting off into the darkness.
