You and Helia walked back to Ramshackle, Grim trudging beside him with a hop in his step. You both had run into Professor Crewel as you left the Mirror Chamber, the man carrying large bags filled with groceries, muttering about beating the Headmage for leaving him to gather everything.
He lightened up immediately, smiling at you both and handed you both the bags that were generously filled with much more than you and Helia had needed. You couldn't question him before he checked his watch and realized he had to leave. He bid you both a happy holiday as he left as quickly as he came.
"Ooh! Check it out, Lana, Helia!"
You blinked, looking down at Grim, who jogged up ahead, grinning with his paws outstretched, motioning to the surrounded landscape.
"We got a whole blanket of snow out here!"
Helia smiled, a puff of white smoke following as he laughed. "That we do. Beautiful, isn't it?"
You shivered a bit. "We better go check on the fireplace."
Helia nodded, agreeing.
He motioned to the grocery bags. "But, we should put these inside first."
"Yeah, maybe the fire fairies are feelin' the chill, too. Better bring 'em some food." Grim said.
"Ooh!" His eyes sparkled,"And I can check out the kitchen and see if they have any leftovers while I'm there! La la laaa!~"

You all entered the empty cafeteria, Grim burrowed in your blazer, his head poking out the top and your arms wrapped around his stomach to keep him steady. While at the dorm, you took the time to change out of your skirt and into the school slacks Professor Crewel had also given you.
Grim shivered in your blazer. "Geez, it was cold out there!"
He turned to Helia. "Helia, hurry up and get that firewood in the fireplace!"
Helia rolled his eyes a bit before he walked to the fireplace, you following. He crouched down in front of it, a hand extended toward you. You began passing him a few logs.
The fireplace crackled to life and you crouched down beside Helia just as the fire fairies emerged, warmth enveloping the room. You eyed them, entranced by the beauty and curious.
They looked more like pocket-nymphs to you, or pixies, and they seemed to glow as bright as the flames, their skin like lava.
Grim sighed in contentment, sticking his paws out of the blazer and toward the fire. He rubbed them together a few times before he noticed the fairies aswell.
"You guys must be the fire fairies. I'm feelin' all warm and fuzzy just being near you."
"Hey, Lana," he called out, looking up at you.
