Perfect family

Felix Hobert is a well-known businessman in the area. He's a very good-looking man even in his late 30s, he's tall, not too skinny, he's also kind, sociable, and doesn't make enemies. He earns millions every single day, plus he has a perfect family. He has a beautiful and clever wife named Lila. She's adorned so much by Felix that he gives her everything she wants. Plus, he had a very intelligent son, Karl. He inherited his father's looks but inherited his personality from his mother. This is no wonder why people would think their family is perfect. However, things began to change when Felix became blind, even high-ranking doctors can't find the reason behind his sudden blindness. He suffered heavily, physically and mentally, but he soon adjusted to his new life with the help of his dear wife.

But ever since that day, Lila began acting weird. She would bring him medications every morning and he would end up sleeping after taking it. Felix began to have suspicion that the medication he kept on taking was actually a sleeping pill. But even his doctor confirmed that Lila was bringing him the right medications and maybe the sudden sleepiness is just the side effect. One day, he decided not to take the medication and see what happens. But the next thing he remembers was his wife coming into their room and him suddenly falling asleep. He became anxious from then on.

What's more is that when his wife brought him wine in his office one night, he ended up being so sick for a week and was later hospitalized because of poisoning.

And alone in the hospital room, Felix tried to calmly ask Lila about the poisoning and about herself. "H-honey, can you please tell me why are you t-trying to kill me? E-ever since I had gone blind, s-strange things began happening around me. And now, p-poisoning?!" Stuttering and fearfully, he asked. He was too afraid of being killed by the wife he loved so much.

"Y-you're mistaken, my dear! I would never ever want to kill you... It was Michael, your bodyguard, he was probably the one who did it!" Lila weepingly explained. "I asked him to buy the wine, and maybe he poisoned it when he brought it! A-after all, when he gave me the wine, I went directly to your office to give you my gift." In a much further investigation, it only showed Lila bringing the wine directly to the office and nothing else. So, Michael quickly became the main suspect.

Michael, a masculine and charming man who also aged the same as Felix, insisted that he didn't put anything inside the wine. Michael is known for his cold personality, being silent always, but loyal and fair. Michael and Felix have known each other for years since they were childhood friends. So instead, Michael just ended up getting a lighter punishment, for Felix trusts him so much. And that would be the reason why he only chose to fire him from his job rather than going to prison.

"You know I wouldn't go to such lengths just to kill you, and you know that better than anyone, Felix. That woman is dangerous, it would be best if you avoid her before you'll really end up dying in her hands" Michael warned him. Felix believed in his friend and heed to his warning.

To avoid any suspicion, he still hangs around with his wife and child even though he is afraid. He also secretly hired a detective to investigate his wife, but still ends up with no concrete evidence except knowing the dark secrets behind his wife's past. Felix was actually Lila's 5th husband, and all her previous husbands were also very wealthy, also suffered sudden blindness, and died in mysterious deaths. Now Felix was fully convinced that Lila was actually a killer.

Ever since he discovered Lila's secret, he couldn't sleep at all, afraid that he might not wake up again. He refuses to eat, afraid to get poisoned again. And he gets nervous and pale, especially when he's alone with his wife. This resulted in him becoming very thin, that's why Lila brought him to a doctor, in which she suggested going to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist revealed that Felix might be actually experiencing hysteria caused by trauma or anxiety. Lila began to doubt that maybe Felix had learned about her past. So, Lila decided to trap Felix into her hands, once and for all. Knowing that this might actually happen, Felix made so many hideouts for him to escape without Lila knowing it. However, Lila also had already foreseen what Felix would do just to get away from her grasp. She knew that he wouldn't have gone too far away since he's blind.

People who only knew little about Lila called her "unlucky" or "a gold-digger". But to those people who know what she really looks like behind the sheep's clothing, they call her "a murderer", "a sadist", "a manipulator", and a "PSYCHOPATH". Normal people would see her as a caring wife, but not for them. Since they already know that she'll be up to something again, especially when she'll get married again. But they chose to remain silent, scared, and always put on an act, unless they want their limbs to be cut off a lot of times before they'll finally be killed by her. And Felix, who had no idea what his wife really is like, is now hiding like a mouse, always trying to avoid and staying away from the sly cat.

And now, it's already been a month since the disappearance of Felix, news says that he's been kidnapped or that he's already long dead. No one is certain anymore, only except for Felix, Lila, and Michael. Michael had been helping him for a month already, while also ensuring the safety of Felix's son.

On the second week, on Friday evening, Felix, whose eyesight is slowly getting healed, was eating his dinner, but then a sudden loud knock was heard on the door of his room. He was hesitant on opening it at first, not until he heard Michael's voice. But upon opening, he saw Lila standing there, grinning and hiding her right hand behind her back while her left hand was holding a phone playing a voice recording, saying, "You know I wouldn't go to such lengths just to kill you, and you know that better than anyone, Felix..." Felix took a few steps backward and stood there trembling and speechless. He remembered that conversation very well when Michael had warned him about Lila.

" ...That woman is dangerous, it would be best if you avoid her before you'll really end up dying in her hands." Lila mimicked the last sentence in the voice recording that Michael said to Felix before leaving the company.

Shocked, Felix muttered, "H-how?" Lila smirked and answered, "Easy... I just installed a hidden mechanism in your clothes. Everything you've said and everything you've planned, I know all of it! Ahahahahhaa~ Oooh yeah, I heard that you've investigated me? So~ How was it, learning about my past~? Ahahaahahaahhaa!" Then she added as she finally revealed the knife that she had been hiding behind her back, "Though, it seems like Michael had found out about the mechanism, and that would be the reason why I can't seem to find you for weeks... But luckily, I found you here in this abandoned underground basement. But don't you think it's kinda weird for a husband to hide from his wife, right Felix?!"

Then she pointed the knife to Felix. He suddenly had a nervous breakdown and was internally panicking because he knew he was trapped there in the small room where Lila is also at. Lila locked the door, and Felix is now on the ground, can't move and can't speak. All he had was a fork in his right hand in which he had been holding since dinner. And then, Lila approached him and gently caressed his face saying, "Oh Felix, you don't know how much I love you... I always wanted to be with you, but unfortunately we can't be together."

"I-if you r-really l-love me... t-then w-why are you p-pointing that knife at m-me?" Felix is shuttering again in fear, and now he's having hiccups. Lila laughed grimly and smiled creepily saying, "Hmmm, I don't know either~" Then she raised the knife as if she was going to stab him. Afraid, Felix closed his eyes. Panicked, he didn't know that his right hand had suddenly moved. He felt as if he stabbed something, so he opened his eyes to see what happened. Felix was shaking in fear as he saw blood on his hand and the fork was already on Lila's stomach. It turns out that he unconsciously stabbed her using the fork, and he suddenly lost consciousness because of the shock. Lila, who was still holding the knife, tried to stab him, but then Michael and the police suddenly went in and shot her hand for her to let go of the knife.

Lila was then handcuffed and the two were brought to the hospital. A week had passed, Lila was sentenced to death by hanging. But unfortunately for Felix, he suffered a severe emotional trauma that made people call him "crazy". He would suddenly tremble in fear, have sudden mood swings, and have terrible nightmares which made him keep on demanding to bring water to wipe the blood that's in his hands even though it had no blood in it. The doctors and nurses who took care of him pitied him, for he would remain like that in his whole lifetime if he wouldn't try to recover from his trauma. Years passed and at an early age, Karl Hobert, his son, ended up inheriting the company. He was renowned as the youngest CEO in the country. But despite his young age, he led the company well, he's also very clever just like his mother but he's more like his father. Everyday, he would visit his father and take care of him even until the very fateful day when Felix took his last breath. He sure lived a painful life, but he was thankful for having a son who didn't abandon him, who gave him hope and peace even until the very end.
