It was a bright and beautiful day. The sun was out, and its magnificence made the grass on the ground glisten. The eye could see much from the top of the hill. There were no buildings in this hill, nothing covering up nature's beauty.

Days like these were hard to come by. Days where people could just relax on the soft grass. Days where you could lie down, put your arms behind your head and not have to worry about dying. At least that was how it was for Jiang Yanggu.

The past few years had been fraught with trouble. First it was a dragon that was trying to kill him. Then it was the Phyrexians trying to corrupt the multiverse. And now, and now who knew what. But that wasn't for Yanggu to worry about. That seemed more like something for the gatewatch, the self appointed heroes of the multiverse, to take care of.

He would come if they needed him. But every man had their breaking points. And before Yanggu had reached his, he thought it would be nice to return back to his own plane.

"Yanggu, why are you lazing around here?" The voice called out. The voice was stern and demanding. Despite that, the person's face had a rather soft and solemn look to it. Jianggu didn't even need to open his eyes to know who it was.

"Jie, just a little longer." Mu Yanling, she and Jiang Yanggu had both become friends long ago. In fact, they swore to the heavens that they would be sworn siblings. Their bond was closer than any other bond in the multiverse. It was as though they were really siblings. And as far as Yanngu was concerned, she was the only one that Yanngu would risk his life for, at least aside from Mowu.

As if reading his mind, he heard a "Woof." If it wasn't Yanling that would wake him up, then it had to be Mowu's licks. Mowu tongue was slobbering all over Yanggu

He had to open his eyes to defend himself.

"Ok, Mowu, stop. I said stop." The dog's [Slobbering Dog Tongue] technique was top tier and relentless. Yanggu wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.

"Jie, call him off. I beg of you."

"Why should I?"

"I think is considered abuse in other planes. I think it's called cruel and unusual punishment." Although Yanggu said it, he wasn't sure where he had heard it. But in the vast multiverse, it had to exist somewhere.

Mu Yanling rolled her eyes. She then let out a whistling sound. The ear piercing whistle alerted the magic dog who went over to his master's best friend.

Mowu let his tongue hang out as he looked up.

Yanling ignored him. "Come on, we found a place we can stay."

That was the reason why Yanling and Mowu were out earlier. They were looking for any towns they could stay in. Their plane was vast. A person could walk for an entire month and still not find sign of civilization. Lucky for them, it had only been a week.

To be honest, Yanggu had no idea where they were. Before his planeswalker spark ignited, he had only been to a handful of areas. And after so many threats, the amount of time he had spent on this plane verses the others were almost equal. At least it sure felt like a lifetime ago.

It took them nearly two hours to get there. At least two hours on Mowu's feet. Mu Yanling had been using the air. She had a connection with it. While she couldn't escape the confines of gravity, she could at least slow her descent. But it was to a degree that it was as though she were practically flying. It was rather awkward when trees got in the way, but the way she moved, it seemed so effortless and graceful. She was like one of those fairies that Yanggu had heard about in legend.
