The Morning of the Reaping, I was sitting opposite My older brother, Gloss as he was looking at the paper while also stuffing his face like an animal, typical Gloss.

I saw my older Sister, Cashmere smile at me when she saw that I was awake, walking over with a plate in her hand and placed it down Infront of me

"Autty Darling, Nice to see you awake" She smiled before walking back into the kitchen to get her own breakfast before walking back out and sitting on the table with us.

I smiled softly as I picked up a piece of the pancake and holding it halfway towards my mouth "Nice to see you too, mere"

I could see through the corner of my eye that Gloss pushed his newspaper out of the way of his eyes to show off his raised eyebrow, I laughed softly knowing why he was giving me a raised eyebrow.

"Nice to see you to, Gloss" I speak in a goofy tone making him give a nodd of approval before smiling back at me "Morning to you, Autty"

Cashmere looked at the both of us before laughing "You both are like children" she spoke pointing at me and Gloss

"Erm, I am a child, actually" I pointed out in a 'matter of fact' voice, Cashmere just laughed at my reaction as Gloss just nodded with a laugh

"So, Being serious, what If I get picked for the 66th hunger games?" I asked looking at both of them in curiosity, Gloss finally put down his paper as in he was going to answer my question

"You won't. Trust me, you haven't done anything bad for you to be put in" Gloss reassured making Cashmere nod in agreement as she finished her pancakes

"The problem is that I could be in there and you could be my mentor" I stated with a smile trying to cover the fact that if I was chosen I'd be sent to my death

"In the most nicest way possible, I doubt a 14 year old girl like you could ever win the games" Gloss out on a hard look giving the hint that I wasn't going to survive because I haven't been teached a lot yet

"But if you did get reaped, in that worrying scenario, I promise me and Gloss will make sure you get out of that arena alive, ok autty?" Cashmere explained, collecting my empty plate before going back into the kitchen, leaving me in my thoughts

"Come on, Autty, we have to go!" Cashmere shouted up the stairs, seconds later, Autumn came rushing down the stairs all dressed up

"I didn't know what to wear, I didn't know what was suitable" Autumn explained patting down her dress, Gloss looked at his little sister with tears brimming

"I can't let you go, not yet" he cried dramatically making the girls roll there eyes at Gloss

"Let's see who were mentoring, also, if you don't get picked sabre decided to babysit you while me and Gloss are gone, ok?" Cashmere pointed out, the ginger haired girl smiled brightly of The fact Sabre was babysitting her while her 2 older siblings would be away mentoring

"Shall we go?" Gloss asked picking up the house keys from the desk

After Autumn was tested with her blood, she made her way over to the girls as she saw her older siblings at the corner of the stage. A colourful woman made her way on the stage, with a big smile on her face

"Happy hunger games, ladies and gentlemen, may the odds be ever in your favour" The woman announced as she made her way over to the microphone

"My name is Celeste and I will be the new tributes guide, as I like to call it" Celeste introduced herself, pushing her curly yellow hair out of the way

"Before we start, I'd like to show you a video that was amazingly made by our savior the Capitol!"

The video was a little help guide on how to do the hunger games, what the rules where. As the video stopped, Celeste made her way back onto the stage with the same grin

"Shall we begin? Of course, ladies first" she announced as she walked over to the ladies bowl and twisted her hand all the way around before picking up a single folded paper, she opened it and a big grin grew on her face

My face kept emotionless, my face gave nothing away, I know that there could be a chance of me getting pick, and I was ready for that, of course I knew what I was doing and the consequences but since I know my parents are stuck in the Capitol. I just want to see them again, I wanna be prepared to fight to see my parents.

"Autumn Taylor"

Everywhere grew quiet, the girls were looking around trying to find Me. Even though I was picked like I suspected, I was ready.

"Autumn Taylor, where are you lovely?" Celeste asked looking into the girl crowd with a big smile on her face, he hand flickered towards when she spotted me, telling to walk towards towards her.

I walked to the stage, showing no fear, no sadness nor any anger, looking over to the corner was cashmere and Gloss, they both kept strong faces showing no weakness which you have to fight to not show.

"Aren't you beautiful?" Celeste smiled as she lightly touched my face, I felt myself smile at her compliment which made her laugh softly

"Now the gentleman?" Celeste asked Rhetorically, walking over to the men bowl doing the same she did with the ladies, finally picking a piece, a grin kept on her face.
