The girl slides up to my desk, leaning over to look at my face while smiling.

"Oh, Phew! You're not even that pretty!"

'What the hell?'

--

"People kept going on and on... About how pretty the girl sitting next to Jake was, so I had to come and see for myself. But you're nothing special. What are you sitting next to Jake? And you even dared to ignore the note that I wrote." She gets closer to my face, smiling but not out of kindness.

"...Hold on. Who's Jake?" I ask confused as to why she's getting upset at me about a guy Who I don't even know.

"Huh? H-He sits right next to you! How dare you pretend you don't know who he is!" She shouts angrily.

"Oh, him? Look, I don't want to sit here either."

"Then switch seats!!"

"What a great Idea!" I deadpan. "Whoever wants to sit here, raise your hand." Nobody raises their hand.

"That Jake or Jay must be really unpopular." I sigh to myself.

"What?! Hey, you with the red glasses!! Switch seats with her!" She points at a kid with red glasses.

"Huh? O-Okay..." He responds confused.

"Hey, Choi Iseul! Go ahead and pack your bags--" She turns around to look at me in satisfaction before realizing I'm gone. "Why this little... Where the hell did she go?! Ugh! This is so annoying!!!"

I hastily walk away thinking about my phone.

'The repair shop should still be open right?'

--

"I apologize for the long wait. Your phone has been repaired." He slides my phone towards me, the screen practically glowing.

"Thank you!" I thank the worker before turning around and walking away while staring at my phone.

'Let's stop thinking about it. From the start it didn't even make sense... That a phone could turn into a human! I must've imagines it because I hurt my head...'

--

"yeah. It makes no sense at all. A phone that turns into a human? What a joke. Jeez..." I scan the area around me, making sure that nobody is there before whispering to my phone, "Hey. Are you really just a phone? Have I actually gone insane? Come out again-- Forget it." I sigh. I hold my head in frustration.

"Did I seriously come out to the playground at this hour to talk to my phone? I really have gone insane! I should go to the hospital first thing tomorrow and get myself checked out--'

*Creak*

I turn my head towards the swing which previously had my phone sitting on it but now has the boy from yesterday. He looks over at me.

"You called?"

I furrow my brows before reaching out to pinch and stretch his cheeks.

'It's real. I haven't gone insane.'

"Oh... Umm... Huh? Your face is better now!"

"Yeah it was repaired."

"Repaired? Oh you're talking about the phone screen. It's cool that your face turns back to normal after fixing the screen. Huh? Wait! Does that mean something will happen to my phone if you get hurt in this state?!"

"Yeah."

"What?! Don't ever get hurt! Ever! I'm gonna make you regret it if you get even a single scratch on your body, Okay?!"

"Does that mean you're going to throw me down again?"

"I didn't mean it like that... Do you know how much my phone means to me?"

"I'm really that important to you?"

"I'm really that important to you?"

"What? No, not you!"

"But I'm your phone."

"No! You're my phone, but also you're not! Okay, let's settle this right now. Look." I drag a stick across the sand to draw a picture of my phone and a picture of the boy with a line in between them.

"The phone that looks like this is my phone. And when you're in human form, my phone is... Hmm... What do I call you? Hold on, look at me. Hmm."

'The more that I look at him... The more that it feels like I've seen him before...'

I turn away, hiding my blush.

'...He's totally my type.'

I turn back to face him, "Oh, i got it! From now on, your name will be... Lee Heeseung!"

"Lee Heeseung?"

"Yeah! 'Lee' Because it's my last name!... And Heeseung because you're my phone! And I like it. Your name even sounds like mine! I'm Lee Iseul and you're Lee Heeseung. From now on, I'll call you Heeseung. Well? Do you like it?"

"Lee Heeseung... I..."

"Yeah?"

"...Don't like it."

"Huh? Why are you so picky when you're a cellphone? You should be grateful I even gave yu a name!" I throw the stick in disbelief.

"How can I become grateful?"

"Do you enjoy grinding my gears?! It's a shame I can't hit you."

"Are you going to repair me again?"

"Ugh!!"
