Chapter 7: The Battle

When we finally arrived to Arandelle's castle, we got out of the airplane as fast as we can.

"Alright. Y'all stay here. I'll go handle her." Max said.

"Let me go with you." I said.

"Emily like I said your not trained for this. You might as well stay behind Leon and Rabbit." Max said.

"But——"

"Give her a chance will you? She needs to learn right? By stopping her she won't learn anything." Leon said.

I glared at Max.

"Alright fine." Max approached me. "She is very dangerous though. I don't want you hurt."

"I'll be fine. That is why I am here." I said. I held Max"s hand.

"Nothing will happen to me. I promise."

"We are coming with you. We are not leaving Emily." Leon said.

"Yes. She's our friend Max." Rabbit said.

"They need me. I can't leave my friends." I said.

"Okay on a count of 3 we barge in and we give it all we got!" Max said.

"1!! 2!! 3!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Everyone broke the door and in front of us was Arandelle.

"Alright Arandelle!! It's over!!" I shouted.

"HAHAHAHA! Over?!" Arandelle then jumped down from the castle cliff.

"You kids can't? Like your really onto me."

"Enough of this shit!! You killed my people!" Max said.

"Those people needed to die MAX!" Arandelle said. "And now it's your turn!!"

"Guys stand back. I'm going to bring my full power to take her down. I can't have any of you hurt." Max said.

"You cant even fight. Your amulet is losing power. Let me fight her." I said.

Max looked at me.

"Fine. But you don't know how to use it." Max said.

"I'll figure it out." I said. I went up to Arandelle slowly.

"Alright Arandelle. You want to fight. Let's fight!" I pulled the amulet out of my shirt sleeve.

"Hahahahaha. Really? You? My sister. We are family." Arandelle said.

"Yeah right. Since when I was related to you?" I asked.

"You wouldn't remember because I wiped out all of your memory. You can't even remember your cheating mother." Arandelle said.

"Stop it!" I said.

"Mom cheated on Dad and I couldn't stay with her. You have a step daddy that doesn't even like you." Arandelle said.

"Enough of this!!" I said. "Stop talking shit about my mother!"

"WELL MAKE ME!!" Arandelle then turned into a snake and tried to attack me.

"WOAHHHH!" We all shouted in unison. Arandelle was coming by so fast that I couldn't even use the amulet. I was so scared that when I thought that Arandelle would hit me, I closed my eyes for a second. When I opened my eyes, I saw that it was Max. He was bleeding as Arandelle bit him on the neck.

I was in shock. Real shock. I was in pain. My boyfriend got hurt.

"MAXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!" I yelled.

"Oh no! Max!!" Rabbit said.

Arandelle swung Max onto the ground and Max fell flat on his face.

"HAHAHAHAHA" Arandelle said.

My heart hurted me so bad. I was furious. I looked at Arandelle and raged. The amulet started going in full fire and my eyes started to fuel.

"Leon.....uh what's going on with Emily?"

"She had unleashed the amulets full power!" Leon said. "Quickly, we have to move Max!"

I couldn't move. I didn't even know what was going on. I couldn't feel my feet as it felt like it was on fire. The amulet was fueled and I was fueled. I then started screaming to the top of my lungs.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" The amulet bursted a big goblet of fire and hit Arandelle.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Arandelle suddenly collapsed in one blow. She turned back to her human form.

I then used the force from the amulet to grab her and choke her. Leon then held my hand.

"Okay Emily. That's enough." Leon said.

I stopped and Arandelle fell flat to the floor dead. I quickly ran towards Max and held his head. Max was bleeding. Real bad.

"MAX!!" I said screaming and crying in terror.

Max only groaned for a second and then spoke.

"Emily.........."

"Baby please!!!!!!! Stay with me!!!" I said. Rabbit and Leon tried to stop the bleeding.

"I.....I don't think I am going to make it. You have to do this on your own......." Max said feeling hurt.

"But.....I can't do this without you. I need you. I love you!!!!!!" I said crying.

"Listen......I believe in you and love you too. But I can't live now........the amulet is in your power....*cough* *cough*." Max said.

"I still don't know how to use it........" I said in fear.

"You just did. But........go to the Temple of Light and you will be able to learn how to use it and be trained there........*cough cough* Max said. "It was nice knowing you guys.............all of you....."

"Max don't go please." Rabbit said.

"It's too late. We can't save him. :(." Leon said.

Without a doubt, Max had passed on. I started crying in tears.

"He's gone now Em." Leon said holding onto me. We have to keep moving."

"Arandelle is dead!" Rabbit went over by
Arandelle's body. "The golden ticket!"

Rabbit had the ticket in his hand. All of a sudden, the ticket flew in the air and disappeared inside Emily's amulet.

"Woah...." Rabbit said.

"This is the first ticket!" Leon said.

I still wasn't happy about Max being gone. Max's body soon disappeared into the light. I got up on my feet.

"Well I guess that's over now." Rabbit said.

"Yeah. It's over. The animals should be back into the zoo." Leon said.

"But now we don't have Max how can we see?" Rabbit said.

Leon held my amulet in the sky. The amulet showed the San Diego zoo. All the animals were restored!! We all huffed and puffed in relief.

"Let's go home." Leon said. We all went inside the aircraft and flew home back to California. Leon and Rabbit were in excitement and I was still in disbelief, confusion and anger.

I was still in sadness in grief. Max was gone. Arandelle was gone. The zoo keeper was gone. But it still haunted me. She's my sister?? I still wanted to know about the Redfall Towers and why my mother didn't tell me that I had a sister. It makes no sense. I need answers. I knew this wasn't over and I knew this wasn't the end of this reign. That was just the beginning of my book. What else could happen.
