"Hurry up!" A yell could be heard through the Davis house. Nova Davis yelled at her younger sister, Luna Davis, to hurry up so they could make it to school in time. "We're gonna be late! We need to pick up your friends!" Nova yelled from the bottom of the staircase.
Luna groaned as she quickly put her shoes on, "I'm coming!" She shouted back to her sister. Luna grabbed her bag and ran out of her room, slamming the door behind her.
Nova rolled her eyes when Luna came into sight, "Finally! Mom has been waiting in the car for like an hour!" She stated and headed towards the door.
"Excuse me for wanting to look decent for my first day of seventh grade!" Luna defended herself.
"Yeah yeah. You wanted to look good for Alex." Nova laughed as they both made their way to the car.
Luna rolled her eyes at Nova's comment, "Sure did!"
Both of them got into their mom's car, Nova in the front and Luna in the back to be with her friends. "Who are we picking up first? I forgot who lives closer." Their mom asked politely
"Mom! Julia, obviously! That's like so embarrassing, I can't believe you asked me that!" Luna scolded her mother.
"Sorry honey!" The girl's mother apologized and started to drive to Julia Ross's house.
