Yoongi hates the beach, just about everything about it is miserable to him. Hates the rip currents, the possibility of drowning, the shitty jellyfish that occasionally come and sting you when you're trying to have a silly goofy time, the way sand sticks to your feet, just everything about it sucks to him, but he'll go if it means seeing his best friend Jungkook everyday.

Yoongi won't lie, he's had the fattest crush on Jungkook ever since they first met at that same beach in 5th grade.

Yoongi was being forced on a beach trip with his family and that's where he found Jungkook, making a sand castle. He watches as Jungkook accidentally tosses his shovel, and Yoongi wanting to be the hero that he is brings it back to him, and that's when he was offered to build the sand castle with him, and now they've been best friends ever since.

Whenever the weathers been appropriate they meet at that same spot. It's a little chilly sometimes so Yoongi will always bring a sweater no matter how impractical it is. Sometimes they swim, play some dumb game that Jungkook suggests, or sometimes even just watching the sunset go down together. That's the time when Yoongi thinks Jungkook looks the prettiest.

Yoongi's seen his best friend go through multiple boyfriends, at least five, and every time he ends up getting hurt. It's always painful to watch, Yoongi having to hold Jungkook in his arms as he cries, talking about hating himself cause he never understands what he did wrong, but Yoongi always reassures him that it's not his fault of course, and he's right, it's not, they were just dicks and Jungkook is too trusting and forgiving.

Yoongi tries to protect him, but what is he supposed to do? Forbid him from dating? He's not his dad. He has hope that maybe Jungkook will open his eyes someday and see that the person who loves him dearly is right in front of him, but he's convinced the day will never come.

That pretty doe eyed boy is practically his whole world. He's never loved something as much as he loves him. He's tried dating but it's never worked. Always still wanting Jungkook no matter how much he cares about the person he's with. He wishes he could just be straight sometimes so he wouldn't have these feelings for his friend, but there's nothing he can do about it.

What Yoongi is least proud of about having a fat crush on his best friend is that at least once a week Jungkook wears super small high waist shorts, and fuck does that make Yoongi feel a certain way. He hates that he has sexual fantasies about him when he's only seen as a friend in return, but he can't help it. Can't help wanting to rip those shorts off and fuck him senseless, and today is one of those days.

"Yoongi! Come on! You promised you'd look for seashells with me today!" Jungkook shouts as he's racing to his favorite seashell collecting space.

He's knocked out of his thoughts at his friends words and quickly rushes over to him. Fuck, he's hard again. He always feels like a fool when this happens and thankfully Jungkook's never noticed but it still makes him anxious every time. Wrapping his sweater or a towel around his waist or awkwardly trying to cover it with his hands. So embarrassing.

They're looking for seashells as they usually do, Jungkook being so excited every time he finds a pretty one even though he's found similar ones hundreds of times before, still keeping every one of them. Sometimes he makes Yoongi little presents out of them like jewelry and shit, and even if it doesn't look great, Yoongi loves it nonetheless. His crush made it for him after all.
