You groaned knowing that you had gone out in this cold weather. But still go ready. You don't want him to wait for you.

After wearing warm clothes you went downstairs carefully so that your mom wouldn't notice.

You opened the front door and were about to step out. "y/n?" your mom called from behind.

"Yes mom?" you said and looked at her. "Where are you going?" she asked. "To the convenience store" you said.

"Why?" she asked. "Why do people go there mom?" seems like she didn't like what you just said. 

"Okay okay go. Don't be late" she said. You sighed in relief and left for the store. 

You took your sweet time and walked there. You saw Chan waiting in front of the store. 

"Hi" he said when he noticed you coming. "Hey" you said. 

"let's go." he said and started walking. "Where are we going?" you asked as you followed him from behind. 

"I don't know. Do you wanna go somewhere?" he asked. 

"Not really" you responded. "How about nearest cafe?" he asked. You agreed to go there. You can't walk on the street in this cold weather after all.

The walk was silent. But you didn't hate it. It was oddly comfortable. You didn't have to say anything. You both were at ease though there was silence. 

Chan stopped in front of the cafe and looked at you. He saw you were waking looking down at your feet. 

But before he could warn you your head bumped with his chest. 

"Ouch" you winced as you rubbed your forehead. "I wanted to warn you" he said. "Did you wear metal under your t-shirt or something?" You half joked. 

"wanna check?" he asked, a smirk visible on his face. 

You playfully rolled your eyes and went inside the cafe followed by Chan.

The barista greeted you both. "What do you like to order?" he asked. 

You looked at Chan to know what he wanted to drink. "What do you want?" you asked him?

"There are so many things I want. Such as-" you regretted asking him. 

"I mean what would you like to order sir." you said with a bit of sarcasm. 

"Sir?" he asked. "Anyways latte is fine" he said. 

"Two latte please" you said to the barista. "Did you order for me too?" he asked as he wiped fake tears. 

"Why are you being so dramatic suddenly ?" you asked him. You sat on a table near the window. 

He followed you and sat there as well. After a few minutes the barista called your name. "I'll go" Chan said and went for both of your order. 

He came back after a while. He sat where he sat earlier. 

You looked outside through the window. And Chan joined you. "I like watching people." Chan said. 

"Why?" you asked. "It makes you creative sometimes." he answered. 

"How?" you asked again "Well.. look at that boy" Chan said as he pointed at a boy who was passing by, smiling while looking at his phone. 

"Why do you think he is smiling?" Chan asked you. "Maybe texting his girlfriend or crush?" you said it more like a question. 

"Yes, maybe. But you can think otherwise. Maybe his mom texted him saying she made his favourite dish for dinner. She is always busy with her work so eating dinner together is rare for them. So, he is happy to finally have a decent dinner with his family." Chan said.

"Woah never thought like that." you said. But for some reasons Chan looked determined while telling you that. 

Maybe because he also wanted to spend time with his family. 

"I also want to spend time with my family. But we live in different countries." Chan said. He looked sad. You knew what he meant. 

You felt bad for him. It's not like you can do anything but you still wanted to. 

"By the way did yo start your homework?" Chan tried to change the topic. 

"Are you kidding me ? You think you gave me time to start it?" you asked him. 

"Oh right sorry for asking" he said as he scratched his neck.

"It's okay. It's not like I was about to do-" you stopped when you heard a familiar laugh. You looked at the person who was giggling. You saw Minho and Jisung ordering their drinks.

Chan noticed you were looking somewhere else so he looked in the direction you were looking at. 

"What are they doing here?" Chan asked. "We can clearly see that Chan" you deadpanned. 

"Ah right" After getting their drinks they left the cafe. 

"Jisung said he is busy today. This is what he is busy with." Chan said an laughed.

"I think we should go. It's getting late. " you told Chan. 

"okay" he said as you both got up. You left the cafe and went home. And of course Chan walked you home. 

"Bye" you said as you were about to ring the doorbell but you stopped and looked at Chan. 

"Are you free tomorrow?" you asked Chan. "Yes. Why? Wanna go on a date?" Chan asked as he smirked. 

"No, I wanted to invite you." you said. "Invite for what?" he asked, confusion taking over his face.

"For nothing. I just wanted to." you said. "I'll text you when to come." you said and finally rang the bell.

Before your mom opened the door you shooed Chan so that your mom won't see him.
