I walked to the stairs of the VIP rooms, but paused due to a annoying feeling of anxiety. Turning around back towards the bar and to Abby gawking at the Bartender, I take one seat at the stool next to her and poke her to grab her attention.
"So, you gonna ask him to go home with you or are you just going to gawk all night and not make a move?" She snaps her head to me with a smirk and rolls her eyes, "You think too little of me Lorey-I will make him want me by the time his shift ends." She evilly smirks and shoots me a wink just as the bartender hands me my drink-I stop him and pose the question that's been digging at me for a solid 3 minutes now.
"Are the VIP rooms open for anyone with VIP tickets or is that separate?" I take a sip of my margarita through the straw and wait for the answer; "Oh yeah you can go in there but they are usually booked by Seron, he comes in every VIP night--he's kind of the original customer here and just so happens to be my cousin, he is always busy with work to actually enjoy his time here though." He says whilst serving orders to others and simultaneously cleans up the mess off the counter from spilling a bit of tequila for shots. I ponder the knowledge i was just given and then ask "So is he going to be in today? I wanna sit in a quiet place for a bit." He checks something on his phone-then not even 5 seconds later his phone lights up again and he chuckles a bit, shoves his phone back in his pocket and looks at me with a smile. "You can head on up, tell Caleb that I said it's alright and you can also tell him if you need anything while you're in there." I smile at him-my anxiety waning as I stand from my chair and tap Abby, telling her I was gonna head up and chill out, she nods and I kiss her cheek and walk towards the VIP rooms once more feeling more confident with every step.
I get up to the curtained door and whom I assume to be Caleb, stops me before I get any closer. "Who are you?" He asks sternly with a raised eyebrow, he is pretty tall if I were to guess I would say 5'10 at best. "I am Loretta Harris, I am a VIP guest-" I show him my band "-and the bartender said I could come in here because it's not in use." I state staring at him, he glances over my shoulder and towards the bar then back at me stepping aside while grabbing the door for me. Stepping inside the VIP room, I am taken back by the contrast with the clubs interior-
It's all red. The long curved couches and the LED lights above the tables, there are tiny glass cases built into the wall that are holding alcohol, and above those are giant speakers. I walk around and inspect everything, sitting on the couch i'm met with soft cushion all around me.
I let myself relax a bit but not before asking the bouncer-Caleb if there were any snacks--he replied with a 'yes ma'am' closed the door, then came back with a small key-card. I looked at him confused and he pointed towards a small key-reader on the bottom left side of the couch. Walking over to it, I place the key-card onto the scanner almost instantaneously I am met with a beep then the couch's left arm lifts up and there's an array of snacks splayed out and ready for me to indulge. I smile brightly and give Caleb a thumbs up and a thank you before he closes the door with a smile as well.

I throw my phone next to my book, yeah I brought a book to a club-I'm not a socialite. I leave to go walk around more in the VIP section just to find something exciting or maybe even nothing at all, I get up open the door and walk down to the hallway on the left opposite of the door we can in earlier. I walk along until I spot a door, only not a closed one-this one was slightly ajar.
I walk over to it, peeking inside from the gap-there was a bunch of boxes and some desks. I looked around me before slightly poking my head through the door, only to fully open it to observe the inside. There were giant boxes to the left of the room piled in a corner and on the right were 3 desks one in front of the other, I walked slightly further into the room and spot a bookshelf filled to the brim with books. I bite the inside of my cheek and walk briskly over to the last desk on the right-sitting directly in front of the bookshelf, I move the desk over and eye the spines with a curious glance to each book.
I grab one called "A Spell Too Far" and open it up walking towards one of the desks moving the chair to sit on it as I began to read.

I close the book and smiled in triumph as I finished it. Proud of myself, I go and grab another but before I could-the door handle began to shake, freezing in place I shot up from the spot and bolted towards the door next to the bookshelf-once inside I close the door and hope whoever it is leaves quickly.
I hear their footsteps pace back and forth in the room, no doubt doing various things around the small space. I heard them move close to the door and then to the corner of the room with the boxes, then shuffling. As I began to grow impatient he began heading for the door, I exhaled quietly and thanked god that they were leaving, but as he opened the door-my phone rang. But it wasn't in the VIP room I had been in with the snacks, nope-it was in my purse which just so happened to be in my hand that was holding the door knob. The person stopped abruptly and listened for the phone as I frantically began unlocking it and hitting decline, but it had seemed that the visitor didn't wait that long-because in front of me stood a man standing at 6'2 max and in all black; a black hoodie, black cap and a black pair of joggers. Under the cap I could see a mop of unkempt hair, that seemed to go to the length of at least his shoulders and a stubble on his chin and around his mouth-he also wore black rimmed glasses. He grabbed a pack of cigarettes from his pocket-but in the pack was not cigarettes, but joints. The man put one between his lips and took his zippo lighter flicked it twice to ignite the flame, and lit his joint while staring at me quizzically before I could say anything he blew a puff of smoke into the air next him and leaned against the door frame.
