You've always loved Diluc. You wish you could have him, but there are plenty of other hearts waiting to get accepted by him. You know you will never get the guy. It seems as if he already loves The Dandelion Knight, Jean. They always spend time together, laugh together, and the list goes on. That could never be you and Diluc. You were maybe friends with him, but it felt so forced whenever he talks to you. You even spend more time with his brother, Kaeya. But even so, why not try?

You were on your way to the Knights of Favonius headquarters, until you saw Diluc passing by.

Your heart raced.

'D-Diluc?! What is he doing here?!' You thought to yourself.

It seems that both you and Diluc were heading for the headquarters.

I guess it was obvious that you took one too many glances at him.

Your eyes were on him the whole time, walking to the headquarters.

He then caught you off guard by looking at you back, and you felt your heart race faster.

You immediately looked away with a red face, as he went over to greet you.

"Oh, good morning y/n. I didn't notice you there." He called out.

"O-oh.. Hey Diluc. Heading to the headquarters?" You asked.

"Yes. Are you doing the same?" He asked.

"Yes i am." You answered.

Your face flushed with red. You had no idea how to talk to the man you had a secret crush on.

"Are you okay?" Diluc asked.

"Huh? Yes! I'm fine." You answered.

"That's good to know." He replied.

"So um, Diluc.. Valentines this month, huh?" You said.

"The month of love, huh..." Diluc mumbled.

'AHHH! WHY DID I BRING THAT UP?!' You thought to yourself.

"So.. Is Kaeya going to be at the training grounds today?" You asked.

"Hmmm, I think so, yes, why?"

"Well, because i also want to go there today, but.. Seeing Kaeya there isn't so bad either, heck, it's better."

"Oh, you like him?"

"Wh-what? No! I mean, as a friend, yes, but romantically?! No!!"

"Well, I would not be surprised if you were to have a crush on him, they say that Kaeya is quite the charmer."

"Really? He never charms me."

"Well, he's shy most of the time."

"Oh, that's good to know."

"Do you always go to the training grounds with him?"

"No, but i mostly do. What about you? Do you go to the training grounds with anyone?"

"Not really, I'm already good at blade work. But before that, i used to go with Jean."

"Oh.. Jean.."

"Yes, Jean."

"That's great."

Your heart sank when he said her name. You knew you couldn't stand a chance.
