ENTWINED - A Tale of RaghVi

CHAPTER 2

It's been a month since Pallavi has been taking care of the baby and she joined as soon as her contract was signed. Her only condition from her side was if at all she falls sick, Krishna should be allowed into the mansion, as Krishna assisted Pallavi many times in taking care of the baby and is totally trustworthy.

Nikhil has been sent to dehradun for his admission and is always in touch with pallavi through calls. Luckily he's doing well and he has adjusted well to the campus and his peers.

Pallavi has been by far successful to sync in with the baby. Initially for a week, the baby was not leaving her and he was waking up every 30 minutes at night and thankfully she didn't go to her bed and was by his crib all night. She soothed him and put him to sleep every single time. As he got used to her luckily since 3 weeks, his schedule has been fixed. He has been sleeping a little less than before. His nap time is around 1 to 1.5 hours after every feed, she makes sure that he doesn't have deep sleep after 6 pm.

Their bath time turned better, initially he cried but now he enjoys his bath time. He gives a heartwarming toothless smile at her as she strokes her nose with his.

Their favorite time is when he's awake in the late evening, she makes him lie on his tummy (tummy time) and tries to hold a toy before him as he can try to lift his chest and head off the floor. Else, he ends up rubbing the tip on the nose onto the floor.

His wake times are now very interesting with danglers above him as he reaches up to them to grasp. He's otherwise so busy inspecting his tiny fingers as if busy in discovering something.

And as his nap time nears, he stuffs his mouth with his fingers and slowly drifts to sleep sucking his thumbs, which Pallavi pulls out after he sleeps.

So for now their time together is quite jolly with tickles, giggles and claps. Farhad and Amrutha have been relieved as everything is falling in place but there was this night which no one yet knows about. And Pallavi has been extremely quiet and ignorant about it but her threshold is breaking now.

3 weeks ago

It's been a week Pallavi joined and she's been having disturbed sleep. She heard a sound outside and she slowly went out to check. 

It was Raghav who was sloshed out and was clumsily staggering tripping over nothing specific. She instinctively held him to help him steadily reach his room. He was clueless as to who was holding him till he almost reached his bed. When he observed closely that it was a woman, he recklessly thrashed her aside as she dashed into the wall beside her and her right shoulder and temple were hit against the wall and she instantly crippled to her knees holding her shoulder. As she looked at him, his eyes drooped shut, though they were fixed on her.

Initially she used some cold compressions to bring down her pain. She never used a balm or a spray and she has been on pain killers since. But lately the pain which has been on and off is turning chronic as carrying the baby, bathing the baby and everything is becoming a challenge slowly.

She understood that she needed medical help and decided to tell Farhad that she has a bad shoulder pain, severe enough to disturb her work.

A girl crippled to her knees holding her shoulder in front of his eyes, and his eyes shut before he could make out who the fuzzy figure was, he woke up with a jolt.

This memory has been troubling him for a couple of days like a nightmare and it feels like deja vu. As if he has seen it happen but he's not able to recollect. 

He usually woke up, got ready and sat in his den switching on the laptop. 

His whiskey bottle is on the table and his glass usually and before he poured a peg for himself, it was the CCTV live which was in the bedroom of the baby. So far, he didn't find anything suspicious or troublesome about Pallavi so he's been quite sane about it. But what he observed is, she's been clutching her shoulder and squelching her eyes shut in extreme pain. It's quite evident that she's not able to control and Farhad walks in with some documents.
