They say you either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain. I disagree. You either die a fool, an unwitting tool of a broken system designed for oppression, that it rebrands as peace and freedom, or you live long enough to see past the facade, and in doing so become unable to sit around and do nothing while it continues to hurt so many. The only real villains are those who know and bury their heads in the sand and do nothing while the world suffers, or worse, perpetuate the system in hopes of elevating themselves. No matter who you are, though, the only way to escape the gears is to take it apart.
