Tenko
I smiled softly as I watched my boyfriend sleep soundly next to me. His green hair was a mess as his chest rose and fell in a soft rhythmic pattern. If I listened closely enough I'm pretty sure I'd be able to hear his heartbeat.
My precious Izuku
I gave him a gentle kiss on the lips before heading downstairs to make breakfast for us. Izuku was going to start his first day of college later this week and I was doing my best to take as a much of his stress away as I possibly could.
My boyfriend has a bad habit of overthinking every possible outcome for any situation but it's one of the many things I love about him. He likes to figure things out so he can plan accordingly for them. It comes in very handy when it has to do with his studies.
He graduated top of his class because of it. I couldn't be prouder of him. I had already graduated from University earlier this year and was surprised when he told me he was going to be attending the same one.
It's the only university we have in town but I had assumed he would go out of town for his college education. When he told me the reason he had decided to stay was so he could be close to me and his mother I couldn't help but feel touched.
I've had other relationships before him but with Izuku everything felt easy. It felt as if I could be my true self around him and not feel judged.
"Morning". He said tiredly as his arms wrapped around my waist with his head against my back. "Morning bed head. Slept well"? "You have bed head as well. I was sleeping good until I realized you weren't in bed with me".
"I can't let you starve now can I"? I smiled. He hummed in response. "What are you making"? "French toast sticks with berries and yogurt". He pulled away and tugged on my shirt for me to lean down. I did and kissed him back as our lips connected with each other.
"Keep it up and we might have to skip out on breakfast". I smirked. He looked to the side blushing.
He's so cute
When breakfast was done I fixed our plates, placed his in front of him, and sat down beside him. "Thank you for making breakfast shiggy". He said before taking a bite. "You're welcome. Any plans for today"? I asked before taking a bite. "Probably hang out with either Uraraka or Katsuki. You"?
"I have a interview today. If all goes well I should be able to start working again soon". After I graduated from University I had started job hunting immediately but it was going a lot slower than I initially thought it would.
"That's amazing. I hope everything goes well for you". He smiled. "Thanks, babe".
I dressed myself in a black suit with a white shirt and tied my pale blue hair back in a low ponytail. Izuku left before me which I was completely fine with. I didn't want him to see exactly how nervous I was about this meeting.
My potential boss was one of the wealthiest and most feared businessmen out there. He had a doctorate degree in both business and law. He was the main reason why I went after the same double major as him. All I could think about was working with him after college and now I might have that chance.
I looked at the time, grabbed my keys, and left.
The drive there wasn't bad. His office building was located on the other side of town but it gave me the time I needed to clear my head and calm my nerves. I knew getting this job would provide Izuku and I with a better life for ourselves. I did just fine with the job I used to have but I wasn't passionate about it. This I was.
Once there I parked my car and headed straight to the receptionist's desk. She was short with blonde hair, had her hair up in two buns, and yellow eyes. "Hello there I have a appointment with Mr. Hisashi for ten I clock". "Oh you must be Tenko Shigaraki, he's been expecting you all morning". She smiled happily.
"Just take the elevator over there and head to the top floor". She said pointing in the direction of it. "Thank you, Miss". "You can call me Toga". I smiled at her before making my way over to the elevator and stepping into it.
I pressed the button for the top floor and headed out as soon as the silver doors slid open. His office was spacious with tall glass windows, a desk that sat in front of it, a high ceiling, burgundy couches that sat across from each other with a glass coffee table in the middle and a giant plasma screen mounted on the wall underneath a fireplace.
He was dressed in a grey suit with a black shirt underneath. His white hair was freshly washed stopping at his shoulders but his eyes were nothing but gentle as he looked back at me.
Everyone had described them as cold and menacing but that wasn't the case at all, not only that but he kinda looked like Izuku.
"Tenko Shigaraki I presume"? He smiled. "Yes sir, it's a pleasure. Thank you for agreeing to meet with me". I gave him a forward bow. He motioned towards the seat in front of his desk. "Have a seat, make yourself comfortable". I nodded and did as told.
"Let's start shall we. What made you interested in working at this company"? "As you already know this is one of the best companies out there but I don't want to work here just because of it's popularity I want to work here so I can possibly work with you.
Since I was a child your the person that inspired me to become a lawyer and business owner. The way you take wrongfully accused criminals under your wing and give them a well-paying job so they can have a fresh start is admirable.
If it wasn't for you everyone that works here would probably be in jail for a crime they didn't commit and if they did end up killing someone in self-defense most of the lawyers wouldn't see it that way and still try to convict them".
"I see you've been reading up on my cases". I nodded my head. "I have. I want nothing more than to be able to help you continue your dream for as long as I can". "I like your enthusiasm but it's no longer my dream. From the sound of it, it's now our dream". I smiled.
"It does come with a catch, however". "I'll do anything just name it". "You'll have to attend a three-year program in America before you can start here. Once your three years are up you can return here and continue your work".
"I understand. I won't let you down".
My heart broke after hearing the news. I wasn't upset about the job nor did I regret going after it. I was upset because I knew what I would have to end up doing. My heart ached as I listened to the front door open and closed.
"Hey, babe I'm home". "I'm in the living room Izu". He made his way over to me and immediately knew something was wrong. "Are you ok? How did it go"? "It went well, I got the job". "You did. That's amazing. When do you start"?
"I catch a plane tomorrow morning". "You have to travel"? "I do. They want me to go to America for a program. I'll still be doing the same work over here but I need to start there first".
"That's ok, for how long"? "Three years". He went silent. I knew I was dropping a bombshell on him but It needed to be done. "I'll start packing then". I took his hand in mine. "No Izuku, I'm the only one going". He looked at me shocked.
"What? Why"? "I would love for you to be able to come with me but it wouldn't be right of me to take you away from your mother. Your all she has left". "Tenko". "I promise I'll think about you every day but we have to say goodbye for now.
If we truly are meant to be then we'll find our way back to each other when I come home". He squeezed my hand. "Your the only one who will ever fully own my heart".
We kissed and made love to each other the entire night before I left.
