April:

I hissed as he pulled out of me, the feeling of being empty somewhat being foreign despite the discomfort that I felt during the experience. My body was somewhat sore; however, this was nevertheless, one of the most beautiful nights of my life.

The way he held me in his arms, cradled, and kissed me, everything just kept playing in my head as I watched him getting out of bed.

"Why didn't you mark me?" I asked, frowning in confusion. He wouldn't even let me mark him, and instead, he chose to take control of the whole night, not that I minded, I was just confused by his action.

"Because I never planned to" he answered coldly. The gentle and sweet man who was holding me in his arms earlier seemed to disappear all of a sudden. I frowned, forcing myself to sit up, body was screaming to rest.

"Lucas, this is not a joke to play around with..."

"I am not playing around, April. I never planned to mark you, and I believe that you're not stupid enough to know that an Omega would never be in the same rank as an Alpha" he said coldly. My heart raced against my ribcage as he put on his boxers and pants. As he turned to face me, all I felt was his cold hard eyes, glaring at me, waiting for an answer back.

His green eyes met my blue ones, and shaking my head, I tried to process what he was saying. The man couldn't be serious, he couldn't be saying this, could he?

"Then why did you invite me here? I don't understand..."

"I was curious on how it would feel to mate. Needless to say, you are the "Best" I've been with; however, the two of us know that it is Lilah who I am in love with; therefore, I do believe that you..."

"You just took my virginity to be with a different woman?" I asked, stopping him, gasping in disbelief, "Hell, not only to be with another women but to make as the Luna of the pack..."

"And if you want to stay alive, I will suggest that no one hears of this. Otherwise, I will be ripping that good ol' tongue out of your mouth, feeding it to you before I kill you, do you understand me?" He asked, glaring at me. Tears roll down my cheeks, my vision started to blur as my voiced whimpered with understanding. I gripped the blanket over my body, hiding it from his eyes, "Good, now it is time for your rejection!" He shouted with a smirk.

"Lucas, please. The two of us have been friends..."

"That friendship ended when we grew older. I am not saying that you did anything wrong, on the contrary, but we are of different ranks. You come from a bloodline we know nothing of but as for me I am an Alpha and will always be the one who rules." he said, stopping me. His words tore into my soul like nothing else, and tightening my grip on the blanket, I waited for his rejection as my heart throbbed. My wolf broke, but I promised her to make it up to her. I promised her that if she doesn't show her pain to him, that I would help her heal. Thoughts of having faith of getting a chance with another mate, maybe our fate didn't stop here with just one person, maybe I will become better and stronger.

"I, Alpha Lee Lucas, reject you, April Pena, as my mate and Luna" I kept my eyes on him as he spoke his words, not reacting to his cold words. He frowned in confusion, expecting his words to break me, they did, but I wasn't going to show it to him, not when I did nothing to deserve the rejection.

"And I, Omega April Pena, accept your rejection, Alpha Lee Lucas" he frowned in confusion as he watched me lay on the pillow, covering myself with the blanket, hiding my face. I was thankful that it was past eleven and we were at my house. My house was at the far end of the road and having lost my parents at a young age, I've been living alone, thanks to Lucas' father, Lee Mathew, who allowed me to stay in his pack after their death took me in as one of his own.
