I couldn't believe it. I was standing in the garage of McLaren, surrounded by the best engineers and mechanics in Formula One. It was a dream come true, and I was living it. I had always wanted to be a Formula One driver, and now I was one.
As I looked around the garage, I noticed a few people staring at me. I knew that they were curious about the new kid on the block. I could hear whispers and murmurs from some of the mechanics, and I knew they were talking about me.
Suddenly, I heard someone shout, "Hey, rookie!" I turned around and saw a tall, muscular man walking towards me. I knew instantly who he was. It was Lance Stroll, Aston Martin's driver.
I took a deep breath and prepared myself for what was about to happen. I knew Lance and I were going to be rivals on the track, but I didn't expect it to start so soon.
"What's up, Stroll?" I said, trying to sound confident.
"I just wanted to welcome you to the sport," Lance said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Thanks," I said, trying to ignore the tone. "I'm excited to be here."
"Well, don't get too excited," Lance said, smirking. "You'll be at the back of the grid all season."
I felt my blood boil. How dare he insult me like that? I knew I was a rookie, but I wasn't going to take any disrespect from him.
"I guess we'll see about that," I said, my voice cold.
Lance laughed. "Yeah, we'll see."
And with that, he walked away, leaving me fuming. I knew that Lance was a tough competitor, but I wasn't going to let him get the best of me.It wasn't long before I found myself on the track with Lance. We were both competing in the first race of the season, and I was determined to beat him.
As we lined up on the grid, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. I knew that this was my chance to prove myself, to show everyone that I belonged in Formula One.
The lights went out, and we were off. I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins as I tried to gain an advantage over Lance.
We were neck and neck for the first few corners, but I could see that he was pushing me wide. I knew that he was trying to intimidate me, but I wasn't going to let him get the best of me.
As we came into the first straight, I saw an opening. I took it and passed him on the inside. I could hear his engine roaring behind me, but I didn't let it distract me.
For the next few laps, I was able to hold off Lance. But then, he started to catch up. I could see him in my rearview mirror, getting closer and closer.
Suddenly, he was right behind me. I could feel his car breathing down my neck, and I knew that he was going to make a move.
He tried to pass me on the inside, but I blocked him. He tried to pass me on the outside, but I blocked him again.
"You're not getting past me that easily, Stroll!" I shouted over the radio.
But then, he did something unexpected. He nudged my rear tire, causing my car to spin out of control. I watched in horror as he drove past me, his car unscathed.
I was fuming. How dare he do that to me? I knew that it was a dirty move, and I wasn't happy about it.I couldn't believe what had just happened. Lance had taken me out of the race, and I was left stranded on the side of the track, watching as the other drivers zoomed past me.
As I got out of my car, I could feel the anger boiling inside me. I was so close to finishing the race, and Lance had ruined it for me. I knew that I had to confront him. After The Race
I stormed over to the Aston Martin garage, my fists clenched. I could see Lance standing near his car, surrounded by his team.
"What the hell was that, Stroll?" I shouted, my voice echoing around the garage.
Lance looked up at me, his face calm. "What are you talking about?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about!" I yelled. "You took me out of the race!"
Lance shrugged. "It's just racing, Poppy. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose."
"That wasn't racing, that was a cheap shot!" I spat.
Lance laughed. "You're just upset because you couldn't keep up with me."
I felt my blood boiling. How dare he insult me like that? I knew that I was a good driver, and I wasn't going to let him get the best of me.
"You're just a dirty driver, Stroll," I said, my voice cold. "You don't have what it takes to win fair and square."
Lance's face twisted into a scowl. "You have no idea what it takes to win in this sport, Poppy. It's not all about skill. It's about strategy and cunning."
I shook my head. "I don't believe in dirty tactics, Stroll. I believe in racing with honor and respect."
Lance snorted. "You're never going to make it in this sport with that attitude, Poppy. You're too naive."
I clenched my fists, feeling the anger rising inside me. "We'll see about that, Stroll. We'll see who comes out on top in the end."
And with that, I stormed out of the garage, leaving Lance and his team behind me. I knew that this was just the beginning of our rivalry, and I was ready for whatever he had in store for me.
