{I red about this story years ago, so i tried to recreate it instead of searching for hours and hours.}
There's a painter who loves painting flowers. He loves it so much, He's obsessed.
To paint the world's most beautiful flower, He offered half of his soul. He painted a portrait of a perfectly beautiful begonia.
The soul he poured into the begonia came to life.
"So beautiful... This is the masterpiece I personally sculpted, An exceptional beautiful treasure."
Every midnight, She would appear as the beautiful Flower demon to accompany the painter.
The painter loved the begonia, As much as he loved the other half of his soul. The begonia admired the painter, As much as she admired a handsome god.
Until one day, A group of bandits barged into the valley...
"Kill him of course!" The bandits said,
"No! It's the bandits! Hurry, Wake up!, Hurry! Wake up! What should I do? I can't speak..." As begonia gritted her teeth.
The begonia, Who cannot come out of the scroll during the day, Used all her strength to burn the scroll.
The painter woke up and escaped the robbery...
But the begonia...
"My... begonia..."
Having lost the scroll, The begonia lingered over the valley like a lonely wandering soul...
"Splash" The painter kneeling down holding a begonia as he waits for her.
"How long will you look at there flowers for?" Begonia said as she holds an umbrella for the painter.
Begonia was back and was just beautiful as before.
But what was different was... She won't let painter touch her anymore...
"That's okay... As long as she's still here, It's fine..." The painter murmured
Begonia was a painting demon, A body without a scroll, So she grew weak as the days went by.
The painter thought of everything for begonia to inhibit a scroll again.
"Why-why can't I paint it?! What's missing?" The painter said in frustration as he think.
"That's right... It's missing a soul... I, Clearly still have..."
Then, he burned incense and offered his pen.
"What are you doing?! No! stop painting!" Begonia said as she cries.
"With this stroke, You'll probably only have a few more years left to live!"
"You are my masterpiece... Even if there's only a few years left to live..." As the painter tries to reach for begonia's face.
"It'll be fine as long as you can stay..." The painter immediately grabs his brush and started to paint.
"The price to reincarnate is... As soon as you touch him, You will turn into an ugly demon..." The words of the god lingers in Begonia's mind.
"DON'T!" She jumps in front of the painter to stop him from offering his soul to inhibit a scroll again.
"It's not worth it, It's not worth it..." Begonia cries as she begged.
"You're finally willing to touch me..." The painter hugged Begonia.
"It's not worth it! I-I'm not the same as I were before..." Begonia hugged the painter as she cries.
"How could that be... You'll always be my most beautiful flower." As painter looked at Begonia's face.
Begonia's beautiful face turns into a ugly demon.
"Who are you..." As the painter pulled away.
"I am Begonia, Your begonia. The most beautiful flower that you drew..." As begonia touched the painter's face.
"No, My artwork is so beautiful, Flawless. She's definitely not like you..."
"Artwork...Artwork? So the one you loved has always been your painting? Not me?" Begonia froze in shock.
"That wasn't a painting. It was a masterpiece that i poured half of my soul into to borrow inspiration for god." As the painter looked away.
"Since I was born, I have loved only you, I thought you felt the same... But it turns out, We were never the same..." Begonia cries as she steps back.
"I am no longer your artwork...But I'll always be half of your soul." As she banished into a thin air.
Begonia returned her soul back to the painter, Using such an unreasonable way to be with him forever.
In that moment, Even the painter wasn't clear about whether he actually loved the Begonia in his artwork, or the person who disappeared.
From then on, The painter only drew one type of flower--
Begonias.
