Sonic stayed silent untill Mephiles spoke "Why didn't you tell me about this? And what are they restricting you from?" Sonic just rubbed his arm and looked down at his feet tearing up as Mephiles came closer "Love?" Sonic just broke down into tears and through his sobs he said "I I didn't want any of you to think of me as a monster. You and everyone near could feel this and how powerful these inhibitor rings are" Mephiles just hugged sonic as he kept going on "I didn't want to be alone again so I kept this hidden" Mephiles just pets sonic's quills calming him down from his crying fit and said in a calming tone "Shh.... Its ok, its ok. I dont think of you any different. I still love you but I did wish you would've told me sooner about this" sonic sniffled and looked up at his boyfriend's dark snake like eyes now calmer wiping away the tears on his face.
Hours later
Sonic and Mephiles were walking back to tails' workshop in silence until it was broken by the sound of robots and a fat egg shaped man dressed in black, red, yellow, and white with blue eyes hidden under his navy blue glasses with his big brown mustache and goggles on his head who spoke up "Hello sonic.... Long time no see" the couple just braced themselves for a fight as sonic made sure his rings were hidden from view as he put on a smirk at the doctor "It has defiantly been a long time Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik"
