The man looked up at me.
-I'm sorry but your bag is on another flight, on its way to France as we speak. Write down the address you are staging at and your phone number and we will get in contact with you when we can deliver your bag to you, also you will get repaid if you have insurance, he said.
-Yes I do, I said and filled in the papers.
-Great, He said.
I got out and found a cab who could take me to the ferry. After I got on the boat I decided to call my brother.
-Hi, I said.
- Hi, are you there already? He asked.
- No, I'm on the ferry-boat right now. They lost my luggage but found it in France so they are sending it to me as soon as they can, I explained.
- Well at least they know where it is and hopefully you get it soon. I have to go but text me when you are there and we'll talk later tonight, he said before we hung up.
I got off the ferry and was met with Ted's smile, Pin's father, as much as I had missed Pin, Ted was a close second. He had helped me so much during the arguments with my mother, picked me up, talked me down and let me stay at their palace when things got heated. We said our hellos and caught up with each other.
Ted dropped me off at a stable, he told me Pin was somewhere around here. I saw him on the other side of the yard after rounding a corner, he was talking to this beautiful girl, who seemed upset
Pins Perspective
-Come one Zoe, just listen to Marcus. If he says you need to train on your technique and suggest you use Major to learn it, he probably has his reasons, I said, trying to reason with her.
- He just said I would destroy Raven, She argued back.
- That is not what he ment. He just wants Raven to learn it correctly and since you need to work on your technique, maybe right now isn't the right time to take it to the next step, I tried to explain but she just huffed and walked off.
- Pin! I heard a voice behind me I hadn't heard in forever, altho it had changed a bit, I knew exactly who it belonged to.
I turned around, and there she stood. My best friend, the person who I once considered my everything, the girl I would die for if needed. Yeah I know it sounds cliche, but she has been with me through tough times and she didn't leave me and my father back then.
-Sara? Was all I got out before she threw herself into my arms.
I hugged her tightly, not believing she was here, thinking I was dreaming.
-I have missed you soo much, I said.
- If only there was a good word to explain how much I have missed you and how much I wish I would have come here earlier, she responded.
- When? How? Was all I got out.
- I just came here and your father picked me up, I explained.
- so much stuff makes sense now, I said, thinking back at the events of the days before and this morning.
Zoes Perspective
I walked away from Pin and over to Raven. I was so irritated that he agreed with Marcus. As I turned back to see where Pin decided to go, I saw him hugging another girl. The way they smiled at each other, made something boil inside.
-Who is she? I hear Becky outside of the stable door peaking in and signalling toward the girl, still in Pin's arms.
- I have no clue. But we should get going since we have a stable meeting in five minutes, I said.
Saras Perspective
-Sorry to cut this short but there is a stable meeting in a few minutes and I kind of have to be there, wanna come with? Pin asked.
- Sure, as long as I'm not intruding, I said.
- You are never intruding, he said.
Pin put his arm around me and we walked into, what I assume is the tackroom. There was quite a lot of people, but they seemed nice since they all came over and introduced themself and asked about me, how I know Pin and if I ride.
During the meeting they started talking about what they were gonna do about the trainer who had just quit and how they urgently needed to find another one.
-Why can't Marcus just do it, the girl I had seen with Pin earlier asked, I think her name was Zoe.
- because I don't have time to train you all and train myself. I would also appreciate getting some guidance, you know, the guy named Marcus answered.
I felt Pin nudging me with his elbow, I looked at him and he nodded towards me to say something.
-I might be out of line but I would love to help out, I said.
- What makes you qualify? Zoe, snapped.
- Well apart from my mother having thought at Hollway along with helping her out in Sweden, teaching young elite riders, I myself am an elite rider along with my mother and sister being Swedish and European dressage champions. My Brother is a Swedish Jumping champion and is participating in the world championship this year. And my dad is a well known western rider in the western world along with his family being one of the best breeders/ranchers out there with elite horses all over the world, I casually explained.
- I promise you guys, I think Sara would be a valuable member to our team, Pin said, supporting me.
- I agree, she is more than merited to help us, Marcuse said and some of the others nodded.
- Mia, you have the last say, Pin said.
- How do we know you are any good apart from everything you just said, She asked.
- If you have an idé of how I can prove it to you, let me hear it, I said.
- If you can jump a course on Raven, I'll give you the job, She said.
- Right now? I aske.
- You can practise until tomorrow morning and at 09:00 tomorrow, I'll set up a course and you get a few minutes to walk it like at a competition, She explained.
- Deal, I said.
- Does anyone care about what I think about you using MY horse? Zoe asked.
- Not really, you should let her since you are just supposed to train him and the lady that owns him is late with this month's rent, Mia snapped back at her.
After the meeting was just getting more and more heated between Mia and Zoe, so when I finally got out of there I practically ran from everyone and dragged Pin with me, asking him about this horse Raven. He told me about Raven and how the only one who had been able to handle him was Zoe, but he believed I would do great and when he explained to me why, My jaw dropped.
