I watched as blood dripped from his fingertips and onto the white ground. I observed him and weighed my options. I would have to come out to eat his offering.

He seemed to realize that as well, he inched closer until his hand was a few inches away from my nose.

I inched forward, using my tongue to bring the cubes to me.

Steve smiled as I finished the handful he had, licking clean the blood from his hands.

I hoped they were feeding the Soldier as much as they were feeding me.

The bowman still looked concerned, more so as I made eye contact with him. I heard a noise come from something in his ear, he tapped it. "Steve, I think that's enough for now. We can just leave the bucket here,".

Steve looked back at him, a frown crossing his face.

The bowman said nothing, tapping his ear instead.

Steve sighed heavily before getting up, returning to the bowman and the door. He practically snatched the bucket from its place on the floor, bringing it over to me. "I'll be back," he promised me. With that, the pair disappeared out the door. I could hear them arguing as they did.

"What the hell was that Steve? She's fucking dangerous," I heard the bowman exclaim as the door closed.

"Bucky trusts her, that's gotta be worth something Clint, I think she's much smarter than all of you are giving her credit for," Steve argued.

"And maybe that's true, but we don't have any proof of that yet! People say that about normal wolves too, and you know what? They get eaten! And you just kneeled down in front of her and hand fed her Steve! She could've taken your arm off! You saw what she did to that guy! And...," Clint was yelling, but it faded off into the distance.

I pricked up my ears to try to hear as much as I could, but they were too far and growing quieter the further they went.

I crawled out from under the bed, moving towards the bucket.

I decided that I liked Steve.
