It was happening more and more. The nightmares, that is, Rachel was starting to sleep less and less. It didn't matter if she slept during the day, the nightmares still occurred. That was why Rachel didn't take naps when she knew that people were coming to visit her, which also happened to make her more irritable. She was supposed to get more rest after the surgery, but she was never able to achieve that goal.

Rachel told this to her doctor, who also put her back on her medication for her IED, her depression, and her medication for flashbacks. Those worked, unless someone touched Rachel while she slept, which would make her gasp and grab whoever was touching her. So, her doctor prescribed her Prazosin at seven milligrams. It was, as the doctor said, "a first-line agent in sleep disturbances in PTSD" and Rachel got the highest dosage for women. It seemed to help, but since she'd missed so much of her needed sleep, she slept for almost a whole day when she took Prazosin for the first time.

"Where's Elaine and Kennedy?" Rachel asked as she took a bit from the salad Miguel had brought her. It was odd for him to come to visit Rachel alone because every other time he visited her, he came with the kids and Rachel's Dad. As Rachel started to get better, and as Johnny knew where she was, her Dad started to get better as well. He was smiling more and didn't look as sleep deprived as he did when he first visited Rachel.

"Your Dad wanted to take them to the beach and then the park," Miguel chuckled slightly, "Elaine was the one who convinced him, and then she told me to come and visit you by myself." Rachel smiled, taking a sip of her water.

She was supposed to stay hydrated, and the doctors were making her eat more and more so that her bones would heal faster. Apparently, that was why she was still in the hospital. Her bones were healing, but slower than most others' bones would heal. The hospital had Rachel drinking Ensure Shakes, which were made to help whoever was drinking them to gain more weight. Rachel drank them, although they tasted absolutely terrible, just so she could get out quicker. Even while Rachel slept, they had IV's going into her that was filling her with nutrients. You'd think she'd have enough nutrients by now.

"I forget to ask every time," Miguel looked up at Rachel while she picked at her food. They'd set a small table between them, so they could eat together while Miguel sat on the end of Rachel's bed. Rachel almost looked like she did before, although it was still obvious that she needed more sleep. Miguel was just glad she was getting better so that she could come back and live with Johnny. So that Rachel, Elaine, and Kennedy were all safe. Johnny had already filled out paperwork to have Elaine enrolled in kindergarten and Rachel enrolled back into All Valley High School. "But does your mom like Kennedy?" Miguel furrowed his eyebrows, did his Mom do something that made Rachel think she didn't like Kennedy? "I just know it was a big surprise and the whole teen parent thing-"

"From what I've seen, her and Ya-Ya love Kennedy and Elaine. I'm pretty sure my Mom likes them more than me." Rachel smiled, she was worried that Carmen wouldn't like Kennedy or would be mad at Rachel for having a baby so young. It wasn't like Carmen was the type of person to do those types of things, it was just Rachel overthinking things.

"Are you gonna go to court with my Dad?" Rachel asked, gulping anxiously. Her lawyer had submitted the videos of Rachel in the basement as evidence, and if they showed them in court while Miguel was there, then Rachel wanted to warn Miguel of what he would see.

"I was going to," Miguel could see the shift in Rachel's mood, and it made him wonder what had caused it, "unless you don't want me to." Rachel took in a deep breath, she contemplated whether or not she wanted Miguel to go for a long time. Sometimes, Beatrice would bring Miguel up without using his name, saying things like "he's like every other boy, he just wanted one thing and he got it, leaving you pregnant and alone." or "that poor baby has that boy as a father." and even comparing him to Rachel's Dad at times. To Beatrice, being like Johnny Lawrence was the farthest thing from a compliment.

"I just, um," Rachel glanced up at Miguel, seeing his face contorted into a sympathetic look, "sometimes, as a punishment, Beatrice would lock me in the basement for four days without food or water and it caused me to hallucinate, and sometimes I hallucinated that you were there and I'd talk to you and Beatrice had a camera in the basement so she got it all on camera. The tapes were submitted to the court for evidence so I just didn't want you to get freaked out by it, because there were other camera's in the house too and those were also submitted for evidence and she said some pretty terrible things about you." Rachel huffed as she finished speaking, she'd spoken so quickly that her words sort of blended together.

"Rach," She looked away from the corner of the room, and at Miguel, "it's okay, I'll only go if you want me to." Miguel loved the small smile and pink blush that appeared on her face, as she began to wonder how she got to be with someone who was so sweet and caring.

"I don't want you to go if you don't want to." Miguel shrugged.

"Looks like I'm going."
