This was a fic written and sketched in 2021. I probably have to give it a bit of a revision soon or later! Still, here it is.

This fic is another study I did to try picturing Norman and Emma's bond in case his confession in chapter 4 was heard by her.
If Emma came back earlier and heard that "I love/like her" What could have changed? What would she think and feel? How many things could have changed?

This once shot is more some parts put together, the ones related to the biggest changes.

I decided of course to focus more on Emma and Norman's relationship, so I purposely left out many other things that could have been addressed, mainly because my plan is not to do a full and complete au.

I still hope you'll enjoy this study and the sketches!

That was not supposed to happen

That was not supposed to happen.

Okay, maybe it wasn't that dramatic of a situation, not to her at least.

Surely not for Ray.

For Norman however... his face expressed a rollercoaster of emotions. He was sweating, very hard. Surely his skin tone too wasn't much natural, shifting initially from deep reed as Nat's hair, to ocean blue.

.

.

She didn't mean really to eavesdrop, she was just going back to Ray and Norman after her tantrum and solo moment of reflection.

Thinking she took too much time, she just decided to go back.

"I should talk to them again, maybe Ray will be on board to save everyone else too this time!" She thought, walking towards the vegetation. Her steps were slow, yet serene and convinced.

She decided she wouldn't leave her family behind. That was something she wouldn't give up on. Gilda, Don, Anna, Phil... she wouldn't let them meet death.

Ray would see it too, just like Norman did.

And right when her thoughts traveled to her two friends, their voices reached her ears.

"Why?!"

She flinched for a moment at Ray's loud voice. Were they fighting?

Emma took some more steps, trying to go closer to where she left the two boys and, hopefully, wishing to not find them arguing too much.

She herself was ready to argue to make her goals true, but seeing Norman and Ray quarreling wasn't something so usual and she wasn't sure she would appreciate it much.
