death is such a scary thing- that is the absolute law that people have embedded into their minds as years go by and humanity evolves.
it doesn't matter if they can't see death, the mere thought of the entity just being behind you to take you away can make a man faint.
everybody fears death.
scratch that, everybody fears what's beyond death.
they are afraid of what's in store for them the moment they lose their physical state. would they see absolute darkness? or would they see the shiny gates of heaven? or, better yet, would they see the fiery pits of hell as they are condemned to serve their time to atone for their sins?
no one can answer that- logically so.
and to humans, all questions that cannot be solved are automatically something to be afraid of.
however, everyone knows that they cannot outrun the falling sands of death as their hourglass comes to a stop, and death comes to collect their soul to guide them to the afterlife.
