It was a cold autumn morning, a cold breeze shook with leaves and the sun was not warm enough to wear something light. In a small town and even smaller street there was a white house with few windows but a lot of decorations. There lived Yuni with her mom Megumi. Yuni didn't know that since this day everything would change and It will never be the same.
,,Darling It's time for school!" Megumi yelled to wake up her daughter who was upstairs.
Yuni opened her eyes and thought:
,,Ah how I hate waking up" Yuni shrieked, but realized there Is no point in being mad she would still need to wake up and go to that hell hole they call school. Even though she didn't wanted to wake up she replied to her mom.
,,Coming!"
Yuni got up her bed and she put her cat slippers on. She walked tiredly to her door and slowly opened them. There was an unsettling noise coming from the door. Yuni walked to the stairs that were old but not old enough to be fixed. There were few problems like the chipped paint coming off or some of the screws. Yuni stumbled down to meet her mother.
,,Good morning mom" She yawned as she greeted her mother that was making breakfast.
,,Good morning honey, are you ready to go to school?" Megumi chattered. Megumi was making eggs and toast...
,,Not really I don't like going there" Yuni muttered under her breath so her mother doesn't hear her.
,,I heard you. I know you don't like it there, but at least you have Luna don't you?" Megumi responded with harsh and disappointment.
,,Yeah you're right I do" Yuni smiled lightly as she went to sit down at the round table in the kitchen.
,,Oh darling, I need to go to work now, but I finished the breakfast so go on"
Megumi walked down the hall and grabbed her coat and an umbrella in case it would rain.
,,Good bye Honey and be careful" Megumi reminded her daughter as she walked out of the door.
...
Yuni took a bite out her toast and took a sip of her tea. When she was done with her food she went upstairs and got ready. As soon as she opened her front door it started pouring.
,,Okay even mother nature doesn't want me in school. What a coincidence." Yuni sighed. Took an umbrella and walked out.
The cold breeze with the pouring rain ruffled her dark brown hair. She walked down the street to a near by school that wasn't even big enough to fit over 100 children, but It somehow did. When Yuni walked into the hall that was crowded she went straight to her locker. Her eyes straight up met with Lunas light green irises. As Yuni opened up her locker she chirped.
,,Hi Luna how are you?"
Yuni noticed that Luna was wearing the same hoodie she was last week. There wasn't anything wrong with that It was just unusual for Luna. Luna was always the sporty extroverted girl with a heart in her hands, but since last month she completely changed even her personality wasn't right. Her hair were always so shiny and braided. Right now they were down just as her.
,,Hi.. I'm okay" Luna murmured.
Yuni thought: ,,Well she didn't say It very convincingly, but It's definitely okay."
,,What's your first class?" Yuni replied. She expected that Luna would reply more excitedly or at least a little louder that when Yuni came.
,,Oh... I don't really now to be honest"
Luna never spoke so softly. That's when Yuni realized that something must be wrong, but It was too late. She needed to play It cool.
,,It's okay! I can look It up." Yuni said with reassuring voice.
Yuni looked at Luna and went to a nearby timetable. She remembered that they had class together she just didn't know which one. Yuni looked up at a pillar there It was a small timetable that was covered in a glass or something shiny. They had English. Yuni looked back at Luna who was just standing next to her locker. Her hands were hid inside sleeves. When Yuni looked back at the timetable she thought to herself.
,,Why does she have her hands hid Is It really that cold?"
Yuni walked back to her locker and said:
,,We have English"
Luna just looked and nodded. Yuni became more frustrated she hated when she didn't have answers. Without a thought she grabbed Lunas hand and ranted.
,,What Is wrong with you?"
Lunas eyes widen. She whimpered. Something was wrong with her hand.
,,What the fuck do you mean?" She hissed.
,,You changed so much? Where Is the happy Luna we know and love?" Yuni scolded Luna.
,,Why do you care so much? get off me." Luna was mad but she pleaded for Yuni to let go of her hand.
,,Fine." Yuni let go of her hand as she pleased.
,,Let's just go."
As soon as Luna nodded the bell rang. They walked down the small hall to a classroom number 5.
...
When some time passed teacher asked Luna for an answer. The teacher thought she would answer. She was the best In the class after all. Luna just raised her shoulders.
,,I don't know Ms. Rhinestone."
Even Ms. was shocked she just thought that Luna didn't pay attention.
,,Well then Luna If you're not paying attention you can pay attention at detention." She sighed.
Luna was quiet she didn't care...
Yuni just sat there. In her head her mouth was agape with her eyes widened.
...
Right when the class ended Luna got up and went to detention. Everyone got up and left only Yuni sat there for a little longer.
,,Yuni darling?" Ms. Rhinestone sighed.
,,Yes Ms.?"
,,Darling don't you know what Is wrong with Luna?"
,,Ms. I have no idea she changed so much."
,,Ah that's a shame. She is basically useless right now."
Yuni stood up with anger flowing through her blood that It basically burned.
,,Ms. you have no right to talk about students that way."
,,Oh. Don't act like you don't agree."
Yuni kind of did, but that was too mean.
,,That doesn't matter Ms. If I do or don't you don't have the right."
Yuni barged out of the classroom with even more frustration. She did wait for Luna, but when she finally got out Luna kind of forgot about Yuni.
,,What the fuck she never ignores me." Yuni thought.
,,Luna!" She shouted.
Luna turned around and saw Yuni.
,,Hi there Yuni didn't see you there." Luna apologized.
,,That's okay! Do you want to go home together?"
,,Sorry I can't today maybe tomorrow."
With that Luna disappeared at the front door. Yuni stood there... After a while she went to her locker got her bag and barged out of the school. She got home frustrated like she never was. Yuni stomped up to her room and she didn't get out for the rest of her day.
