Mi Amor

Chapter 1

"SKYLER! Your friend is here!!!!!' I jumped out of my bed when i heard Mom's voice. I changed into a white top with jeans. I wore my slippers and ran downstairs.

"Barbara" I called. She was sitting there like a tired cat that has been chasing a mouse all over. Mum went to the kitchen and continued her cooking.

"Barbara, why do you look so tired?"

"Guess what babe, our results are finally out" She told me.

"WHAT?!" I screamed in delight.

"Okay, don't be so happy because mine wasn't very good." She said.

"AND HOW WAS YOURS? I MEAN HOW WAS MINE?"

"Well yours was perfect, you are number 12 on the list of 300"

"Wow! I guess i did brilliantly" I clapped.

"You were A's in arts, fashion designing and so much more. Mine wasn't good because...because i was all B's and 11 on the list" She said and i burst into laughter.

"11! Thats even better than mine, even with A's, but how did that happen?" I pouted and folded my arms. She paused and then we burst into laughter.

 "Never mind Barbie, let's go have some ice cream."

"Mom, we are going out" I yelled as we both ran out.

                                            ...

I got home in the evening and tiredly sat on the sofa. I took the remote and started playing video games.

"Skyler, don't you ever get tired?" Mom came, sitting beside me and holding a suspicious looking paper.

"Mom! What's in that?" I snatched the paper and when i read it, i went berserk.

"WHAT THE HELL? ME? A SCHOLARSHIP TO MODE UNIVERSITE IN PARIS?? PARIS??? NO, Its not possible, i cant go to Paris, i just cant!" I yelled.

"Skyler, This is great news, after your graduation, just get your things ready and we fly there. Its the biggest university with expensive fees! You are lucky you are a scholarship student." Mom said and i frowned.

"Skyler...you don't have to think about your friends. They are just temporary, like i told you when you were a toddler, you will all go your separate ways, life goes on." Mom added and i snapped.

"MOM! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND AT ALL! Am happy am leaving the mean bullies at school, but BARBARA! YOU KNOW HOW CLOSE WE ARE! WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT EACH OTHER"

"Skyler! You are yelling at me now. Go to Mode, or you go get a job as a sanitary helper somewhere." Mom stood up and left. I ran upstairs to my room, crying profusely. I couldn't believe i was actually leaving all my friends. Especially my childhood friend Barbara. I jumped on my bed like i was diving into a pool. I called Barbara immediately and as soon as she picked, i burst into tears.

"Um...Skyler, what happened?" Barbara was surprised.

"Barbie, are you h..home?" I asked.

"Yes Sky, what's up? Are you crying?"

"Yes Barbie. Barbie, i will never forget you. I will miss you so much. Barbie i love you. Barbie till we meet again." I wept.

"Skyler. Explain, are you dying?" Barbara asked.

"AM GOING TO UNIVERSITY! I GOT A SCHOLARSHIP" I screamed.

"So what? Isn't it joyous news?"

"ITS NOT JOYOUS! THE UNIVERSITY IS IN PARIS!!! PARIS! ITS A FASHION UNIVERSITY!!!!!" I cried.

"What? Paris, don't go to that university! You cant leave me here all by myself!" Barbara was shocked.

"I dont wanna go! But Mom keeps forcing me! She says its a good offer!"

"It is, but don't accept the scholarship! Its better you enroll in The Kathy's Fashion College!"

"Mom doesn't like that university. She says they don't do enough fashion and doesn't fit my talent"

"Skyler, we gotta plead with your mom together! We shouldn't be separated!"

"Its of no use Barbie. But its not over" I wiped my tears.

"Sure. I will miss you" Barbie said and we both burst into loud tears.

                                           ...

It was our graduation party. We were all in fashionable outfits. I was wearing a golden gown with gold glasses.

"Oh wow, Sky. I love your style" People complimented and my heart broke. Their Sky was gonna be gone. For good.

"Sky! You look drop dead gorgeous!" Barbie hugged me.

"Thanks" I wore my graduation cap.

"We made it girl!" Barbie said.

"And you couldn't have done it without each other. Yeah. Say it." Amanda, the bully came.

"And how does that affect you?" Barbie folded her arms.

"Awwwwn, so sad! Sky is gonna be leaving this school for good." She faked tears.

"HOW DID YOU KNOW?" I went towards her.

"Everyone knows, even the teachers." Amanda pushed me straight to the ground and i boiled.

"AM GONNA -" I wanted to pounce on that witch but Barbara held me.

"Don't waste your time talking to pigs like her." Barbara held my hands as we left.
