Conner's eyes fluttered open, lightly stretching his arms above his head. A weight on his chest pulled him from his muddled thoughts. He looked down to see Leah's head laying on his bare chest, her warm palm laid gently on his stomach. He sighed, letting a smile grow on his face as he remembered the events of earlier that day. He hadn't meant to go that far with her that soon, but he definitely didn't regret it one bit. Honestly, if he hadn't known that Bella would've been back from school soon, he would've taken things much further, but he knew he wanted to take his time with her. To cherish every moment, and something as special as their first time together, he didn't want to rush one bit.
His heart swelled as he took in the sight of her. Her eyelashes lightly dusting her high cheekbones. Small puffs of air leaving her slightly parted lips. He wasn't sure when he had become so far gone when it came to her, but here he was, absolutely head over heals in love with her. He had told her this earlier that day, right before they had fallen asleep in each other's arms. His heartbeat quickened as he remembered her saying the words back to him. Of course he knew how she most likely felt about him, seeing as she had imprinted on him, but it was so much better, hearing the words fall from her lips.
Leah shifted slightly on his chest, and suddenly, her eyes were staring back up at him. "Were you watching me sleep?" She asked, voice groggy. Her words caused a deep blush to crawl up his neck to his face.
"Busted." He said, laughing nervously. She smirked, seeing the beet red of his cheeks. "You're just too beautiful not to stare at." He said, sending her a bright smile.
Now it was her time to blush. She let her head fall, tucking her face into his chest, her hair hiding her from his adoring gaze. She breathed in his familiar scent, trying to calm her heart. She felt him shutter underneath her. Glancing back up at him, she sent a questioning look.
He looked back down to her, biting his lip. "Tickles." He said, referring to her breath on his chest. He put his hands on her cheeks, keeping her from hiding her face again. Looking deep into her eyes, he brought his lips down to meet her forehead in a soft kiss. "You are beautiful, Leah. You can't blame me for appreciating the view." He said.
Leah looked up at him, drinking him in. She moved her body up his until they were level. Her eyes fluttered closed, slowly moving in, to place her lips on his. It would never get old, feeling his kiss, feeling his love for her. She would live in this moment forever if she could. Just feeling him underneath her, his arms wrapped tightly around her waist, his heart beating fervently underneath her fingertips.
His lips moved gently with hers, his slight stubble scratching her face. He pulled away reluctantly, looking into her eyes once more. "As much as I'd absolutely love to sit here all day and kiss you, I have to get downstairs to start cooking dinner. Charlie is absolutely useless when it comes to culinary skills, and he'll end up starving if I don't make something soon." He said, slightly joking, but mostly dead serious.
Leah laughed lightly. "I believe you." She said, lifting herself off of his chest. She slid off of the bed, rising to her feet. She leaned over, gathering her clothes that had been strewn across the floor. Standing back up, she caught his eyes staring at her again. She smirked raising her eyebrow at him.
He smiled bashfully, swinging his legs over the mattress. "Like I said, just admiring the view." He said.
Once the two had dressed, they made their way downstairs, Conner's hand resting on the small of Leah's back. Stepping into the kitchen, he got to work cooking as she took a seat at the table. "Are you sure you don't want any help?" She asked.
