It was hard to explain the mood, it felt out of ordinary a little to perfect but with me I went along with it.
Helping my mother in the kitchen I cooked for the boys and younger kids on our land since not all of them have a full meal on the table everyday.
"Hope honey can you finsh sirin' them greens over here I have to call everyone in for lunch" I agreed finishing up my cooking duties while my mother ordered the Kids to come inside for lunch.
"Ohh lord it smells good up in here" called my brother Robert,he was my twin basically connected at the hip surely we were both different genders but that didn't stop us from actin and talkin alike.
"Come on y'all sit down, hope you guys enjoy this here cause we packed it in extra today" my mother said pushing through people and sliding the savory food on the table.
"Say grace" my grandmother said before closing her eyes to say our daily prayers.
"Father we come to you today as we bless this food toady and come together with family and friends and relatives to enjoy this meal we have prepared in the house lord, oh we uplift everything into your hands as we say grace thanking you with what you have provided us today as we thank you in Jesus name amen. " we all opened our eyes as we begun to dig in and eat, we smiled at the moments we shared at the table and had conversations after conversations.
I smiled at the fact our community here in Georgia was so close we didn't have much but if we did we made sure to share as much as possible it was all about love here no matter your shade or size or lifestyle long as you took care of us we took care of you and that is just how it went.
