Double Life

Chapter 3

Kristin sighed. She looked at Phil who seemed like he was in a deep sleep, even though he was very much awake. "Phil." She said in a concerned tone.

Phil sat up slightly and looked at her. "What's up?"

Kristin shrugged. "I'm confused about how this is going to work." Kristin said as she walked over to the couch and sat next to Phil.

Phil raised an eyebrow at her. "How what will work?" He asked, confused about what she was asking him.

"I mean like," she turned to him, "they still have jobs in the morning." She explained. "So they'll miss school quite a bit I assume?" She asked him curiously.

Phil nodded. "Although they might have to miss school quite a bit, it's still rare for them to have jobs during school hours." Phil explained. "So we don't have to worry about that."

"If you say so." Kristin said, quietly.

Wilbur ran downstairs and went into the living room. "Mom!" He yelled, startling Phil and Kristin.

Kristin looked at him confused. "What's wrong?" She asked curiously with a little concern.

Wilbur sighed. "I can't find my necklace and I need it or else I'm going to be really upset." Wilbur said as he started looking around the living room for his necklace.

Kristin hummed. "Have you checked Techno's room?" She asked him.

He shook his head. "He's getting ready for school and won't let me in his room." Wilbur replied with an annoyed tone.

"Oh! Is it the one with the yellow gem in it?" Phil asked. Wilbur turned to look at him and nodded. "I put it with the rest of your necklaces in that box in your closet."

Wilbur lit up and smiled. "Oh my god! Thank you so much dad!" Wilbur said as he ran out of the living room and back upstairs. Phil nodded and smiled.

An hour passed and all the boys were finally ready for school.

"Does everyone have everything they need?" Phil asked looking at his three sons. They all nodded. Phil smiled and nodded. "Alright! The driver is here and he's waiting out front. Your mom is going to go with you guys." Phil explained. Again, they all nodded.

Tommy looked at his watch. "Do we have any shows today?" Tommy asked as he looked up at Phil.

Phil thought for a second. "I don't believe so? I'll ask your managers to see if you do and if you do I'll text you guys." Phil replied to Tommy's question. Tommy nodded.
