_The sound of soft movements next to me wake me from my sleep. I open my eyes just to stare at the ceiling before turning over at seeing my favorite boy.
After the commotion of yesterday Reese started feeling better last night, which I was so grateful that I'd get some sleep.
He sits up and gives me the biggest smile he possibly could, showing me the inside of his mouth where his teeth are just starting to grow through.
"Hi Ree-Ree." I smile and pull him into my chest. His laughter warming my heart up.
"I love you." I laugh while blowing raspberries on his stomach and watch him roll around in the bed. I lean down and give him a kiss on the head.
After my nap yesterday, which lasted almost two hours according to Levi, he left right after with the excuse of "work to do" but I was fine with that, thanking him nonstop in my head after he watched Reese for me.
But now as I sit up to get breakfast for the two of us, I feel a pounding pain in my head, practically taking all my energy out right out of me.
I clutch my head with a gasp. I sit back for a second and try to let the pain pass but the longer I stay like that the worse the pain becomes.
My stomach growls at the worst possible time and after an argument in my head I slip out of my bed and grab Reese, that pain intensifying.
I put a hand on the wall for extra stability as I walk down the hallway to the stairs. I make it to the kitchen just in time to hear a low murmur of voices coming from inside.
Not wanting to spend a second extra out of bed I walk through the arch doorway and over to the pantry. Looking through what they have I feel multiple pairs of eyes on my back, watching my every movement.
"Goodmorning Blair." Harvey breaks the silence first, not that anyone else would've.
I muster up a hum as I grab a box of lucky charms, placing it on the kitchen island and grabbing two bowl from one of the glass cabinets.
I pour the cereal into one bowl before taking the marshmallows and separating them into the other bowl.
I bounce from side to side to keep Reese to keep him occupied while I add milk into the bowl with the plain cereal and place everything back where they go.
I grab a spoon before grabbing the bowls and heading towards the kitchen exit, my head pounding with every step.
I just want to get out of this room.
The burning feeling from their stares on me while I keep my head down, not daring to look up at the three.
Knowing what they've done with their bare hands.
The day of the attack, conveniently being while I was there and my dad was at home.
The gun shot wound imprinted in his head.
My father would never in a million years be involved with something that would kill him.
That only means that Levi was involved.
The Mafia.
The attack.
Of course it would be. The second someone spots me close to him, I'm a target in their world. A target to be used and manipulated.
