desert all your past loves
Close the door
to your old life.
Say goodbye to the
people who hurt you.
Greet the people who
brought you back to life.
Drown the people
who wish you ill.
Give air to those who wish
to lend you their trust.
Bury the friends
who betrayed you.
Do not waste your time
on those you feel agitated by.
Give your all
or nothing at all.
If they take you for granted, then do not bother; suffocate their
superficial love
artificial gestures
false promises
synthetic words.
You don't take for granted what you love,
You savour the small moments because
there might not be a tomorrow with them
for some
of us.
